About the job

Do you want to make a difference in a young boy's everyday life? Rasmus is looking for an adult who wants to share his interests, go on adventures and help him along through the small and big tasks of daily life.

About the job

Rasmus, 15, lives with his family near Slangerup. He is diagnosed with infantil autism, ADHD and mild mental retardation.

He is seeking an adult friend who wants to spend time with him both at home and on outings. He is quite interested in Lego and enjoys sitting on an iPad and looking for exciting things to build or going for a nice walk in the area. In addition, he has a companion card and is fond of outings such as to the swimming pool, Tivoli or various exciting museums.

Rasmus needs help and guidance through daily chores. This can be reminding him to eat and drink, advising him on what kind of clothing is appropriate for the weather before going out and assisting him with drying after toilet use.

Working hours

  • Replacement in or out of the home up to 26 hours per month. The family plans a shift every other weekend either Saturday or Sunday of 6 hours duration e.g. from 10:00 to 16:00. They are flexible regarding day and time. The shift can also be adjusted, depending on what you and Rasmus will do together on the given day.
  • Accompaniment 15 hours per month. These hours are to accompany Rasmus to and from football in Rødovre. It works like this: you meet the family who live close to Slangerup and drive Rasmus to football in the family's car, wait while he plays and drive him home again. It is every Tuesday roughly from 17:00 to 20:00.

We are looking for you who

  • Are good at taking initiative and coming up with things to do with Rasmus.
  • Can support and guide Rasmus in daily chores.
  • Understand that Rasmus functions best with structure, fixed routines and predictability.
  • Have a driving licence and can drive a manual car.
  • Would preferably be able to cover all hours: both replacement and accompaniment.
  • Do not mind helping with toilet visits.

It is advantageous to have a car or live close to Slangerup, as there are not the best options for public transport to the family's home.

Who is Olivia Danmark?

  • We stand for quality, knowledge and dedication and work with the daily life.
