We are seeking a competent staff member for the day- and activity offer Linden

Linden is part of Lindegården, which consists of 3 offers: One residential facility, one day- and activity offer, and 3 co-housing communities.

Right now we are seeking one employee for the day- and activity offer Linden. The positions are 30 – 37 hours per week. The working hours are distributed Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.

About us

The target group in the day- and activity offer is adults with intellectual disabilities with permanently reduced physical and mental functioning. It is a pedagogical program where we fundamentally work with neuro-pedagogy and sensory integration. We work with an appreciative approach. There are 20 full-time places and the clients are divided into 2 groups.

The clients have various issues, including 3 clients with varying degrees of autism spectrum disorder and other clients with different forms of physical and mental disabilities. The clients come physically “close” to you, but are not outwardly aggressive. Basic needs are paramount and it is important to create safe and predictable environments, based on the individual client.

We take pride in celebrating traditions and, moreover, use any occasion to “hold a party”. The position is divided between a 1:1 effort and in one of the groups.

About you

We expect you to be educated within the pedagogical field and have experience with the target group. It is important that you have commitment and empathy for the clients and have your ethics in order, as well as demonstrate loyalty. It is important that you can manage loud noises, as well as varying and changing intensity in the work, from activities with full speed and volume to quiet and calm activities. Robustness, good collaboration skills, and the ability to work 1:1 with specific clients. You may have experience in the special needs field and in working with LA2 and sensory stimulation.

openness, humor and the ability to work with non-verbal communication, e.g. “sign language” are important personal traits.

A driver's license and willingness to drive a handicap bus is an advantage.
