Roskilde Badet is a popular swimming pool located in Roskilde, offering a wide range of facilities and activities for children and adults. We place safety, cleanliness and customer service high on our agenda to ensure a positive and safe swimming experience for our guests.

About the position as lifeguard/technical service assistant

Your daily work as part of the "Red team" will consist of several varied tasks; supervision by the pools, teaching, water- and wellness activities as well as cleaning tasks. We are a large team of employees who focus on ensuring that our guests have the best possible swimming pool experience. Our ambition is to rise together and, together, make Roskilde Badet a place guests want to return to, and where employees are happy to be.

It is a requirement for employment that you can pass the professional lifeguard exam in our 50-meter pool, which is 3.8 m deep. But there is an opportunity to train with our skilled judges.

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform lifeguarding and life-saving first aid in case of emergencies
• Monitoring of pool areas to ensure guests' safety
• Active participation in cleaning activities in the swimming hall
• Supervision of facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good condition
• Participate in training activities and continuing education, including taking the professional lifeguard exam and first aid course annually

• Willing to, and perhaps experienced in, teaching in various water- and wellness activities

• Weekday shifts are: 05:00-13:30 and 13:30-21:30. On weekends shifts are from 07:00-14:00 and 12:00-19:00.

Shifts run on a 3-week cycle, with one morning week, one evening week, and finally a mixed week with two days off followed by weekend.
