Banedanmark is seeking an escort for nationwide campaigns with rail-mounted contractor equipment, the measuring train and special vehicles. You will play a central role in planning and executing complex tasks across the country – close to operations, technology and safety.

If you have a locomotive driver's certificate category A or B, experience as an A2-/A3 train driver, experience with rail-mounted equipment or route knowledge of Jutland and Funen, you might be the person we are looking for.

About the job

As an escort you will be part of a specialized professional environment that works with escort and coordination of rail-mounted contractor equipment during nationwide campaigns and special tasks on Banedanmark's infrastructure.

You will among other things work with the measuring train, ultrasonic measuring train and rail milling machines. Contractor machines, special equipment and other types of rail-mounted vehicles.

The work is performed nationwide and requires safety awareness, an overview and the ability to work independently in complex operating environments.

Working hours

The railway operates around the clock, so you should expect

• Shift work
• Night, weekend and public holidays work
• Independent work over longer periods
• Up to 10 days away from the duty station

You will be employed in Odense, Fredericia or Aarhus depending on your residence.

Who are you?

To be considered for the position you have a locomotive driver certificate/category A or B. It is an advantage if you also have SR1 competence, A2-/A3 train driver qualification and route knowledge of Jutland and Funen.

It is an advantage if you have experience with

• Operation of rail-mounted equipment
• Working in track closures
• Escort or accompanying roles
• ORS-/ORF competencies

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed under the applicable Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Civil Service Area (OAO-S Joint Agreement) and the organizational agreement between Banedanmark and the Danish Railway Union.

The position is generally placed in salary grade 2 corresponding to a base salary excluding pension of DKK 27,926.67 per month according to the applicable agreement, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of a supplement. The total salary will include an employer-funded pension arrangement of 16 %.
