Local Planner - Help shape Odense's development

Will you help set the direction for the development of Odense?

We are seeking a local plan planner who would like to create the framework for the Odense of tomorrow. You may have several years of experience or be relatively new to the field. The most important thing for us is that you have a strong professional foundation, are curious, and want to develop yourself. Odense is in continued growth and development and faces exciting transformation projects.

As a local plan planner you will play a central role in the work of developing Odense as Denmark's greenest metropolis and creating the planning framework for the city of the future. You will have a central role from the initial ideas and dialogues with developers and other actors to the political treatment and adoption of the local plan. About the job You will be responsible for your own local plan projects and must translate political visions and development desires into concrete planning.

You will, among other things, be working with

• Local plans from idea to political adoption
• Dialogue with developers, contractors, advisers, architects, citizens and other stakeholders
• Coordination with other departments of the municipality
• Preparation of political cases and environmental assessments
• Development and transformation of existing urban areas.

You will thus not only be preparing local plans. You will become part of the whole process surrounding the city's development. Local plan planning succeeds through both strong professionalism and good relations. Therefore you must be able to bring your professional expertise into play, create momentum, and at the same time collaborate constructively with different actors.

You will become part of a politically governed organization where professionalism must work together with political visions and strategic goals for Odense's development. Therefore, it is important that you can navigate different considerations and interests while maintaining your professional integrity and contributing constructively to finding solutions.

About you

We imagine that you

• Have a relevant education in, for example, planning, architecture, geography, landscape architecture or similar
• Have experience with local plan planning or a strong professional foundation and a desire to develop yourself in the field
• Can take responsibility for your own projects and create momentum
• Have good collaboration and communication skills
• Are willing to bring your professional expertise into play and at the same time be curious about others' perspectives
• Have an eye for both detail and the bigger picture

Salary and employment conditions

The position is full-time and to be filled as soon as possible. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be stated prior to any interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
