About the job
HDS
Magleblik Skole is growing – both in general and in the special education area – and therefore seeking skilled, relationship-building and professionally engaged teachers for our upper grades (6th–9th grade).
We are seeking a teacher with competencies within HDS – preferably supplemented with English or German. There is the possibility of both full-time and part-time employment.
We are looking for teachers who are passionate about creating strong learning communities, inspiring teaching, and good relationships with the students. If you thrive in close team collaboration and see opportunities in active and practical teaching, Magleblik Skole may be the right place for you.
About Magleblik Skole
At Magleblik Skole we believe that all children can succeed. We also know that some students must work harder, receive more support, and face higher expectations than others to reach that point.
Therefore we are looking for a teacher who is passionate about both subject matter and relationships. A teacher who insists that students' backgrounds should not determine their opportunities in life and who will help break the cycle of social disadvantage through strong teaching, clear communities, and high expectations for all.
With us you will become part of a school where we work purposefully to raise students' academic level and well-being. We are ambitious on behalf of the students, because we know that our work makes a difference.
Magleblik Skole is a development-oriented school with a focus on active, engaging and practical learning. We place great emphasis on strong relationships, clear classroom management and close professional collaboration.
Our view of children is the foundation for everything we do
Children can be in trouble – but they are never the problem.
We work purposefully with learning environments, well-being and opportunities for participation for all students. At the same time, we are proud of our high well-being results among both students and staff.
In recent years we have worked with the renewal of the curriculum’s assessment actions, developed and implemented our own language and reading strategy, and strengthened mathematics teaching through guides and subject committees. We develop together – and we expect that new colleagues will want to contribute to ongoing development.
Your tasks
You will, among other things
- plan and implement inspiring teaching with a focus on learning, motivation, and participation
- actively participate in teamwork around students' academic and social development
- be a clear and caring adult with strong relationship skills
- involve students' perspectives in the teaching
- work in a practice-oriented way and create coherence between theory and reality through varied teaching methods
We expect that you
- are a trained teacher
- are enthusiastic about working with students in the upper grades (6th–9th)
- have experience with or interest in students with different prerequisites and needs
- can create safe and developmental teaching environments
- work relationally, acknowledging and professionally
- focus on well-being, learning and clear classroom management
- are academically curious, reflective and ambitious
- thrive in a committed collaboration and take shared responsibility for the community
- see the student perspective as an important part of developing the teaching
With us you will get
A strong collegial community
- close team collaboration
- focus on both student and staff well-being
- professional sparring and knowledge sharing
- engaged and helpful colleagues
- a spacious, humorous and welcoming staff room
Good development opportunities
- a open and respectful work environment characterized by engagement and development
- opportunity for professional and pedagogical development
- good facilities for movement and practical teaching
- opportunity to participate in Halsnæs in Motion (HIB)
A strong support system
- access to a special education consultant, prevention consultant, PPR and intermediate-form consultants
- close collaboration on teaching environment and structure
- a people-oriented and accessible management team
