About the job

Sorgenfriskolen seeks an ambitious and academically strong middle school teacher.

Sorgenfriskolen is a special school with many years of solid experience in creating learning environments where children with special needs have the opportunity to develop academically, socially and personally. Our pupil groups require a high degree of academic specialization, clear leadership and close interdisciplinary collaboration, which is why we are looking for engaged, ambitious and academically strong teachers who want to join the journey toward becoming among the best special schools in the country.

We are seeking 2 teachers for our lower school in the C-track with experience from the field of special education.

We are looking for a Danish teacher and a mathematics teacher. However, your range of subjects is not decisive, so do not hesitate to apply.

C-track

The pupil group includes children with different diagnoses – primarily within the ADHD and autism spectrum – who need adapted learning goals, concrete methods and a differentiated pedagogical and didactic starting point. They need clear structure, predictability and staff who can help navigate a complex daily life.

A class in Department C has 8-10 children and a team of 4 staff (teachers, pedagogues, assistants) who cover school and SFO. The students are in the normal cognitive range and typically have difficulties within the autism spectrum. From 3rd to 5th grade we typically have three teachers and a pedagog in the team.

This pupil group can have challenges with school attendance to varying degrees, so experience with this work would be an advantage. The majority of the students are in school as expected.
