A little about us

We are Lunas Ark – a large house with lots of life, professionalism, humor and diverse people.

We have just moved into our new institution, and we are at an exciting place. The framework is new, and we are now filling it with what matters most: presence, belonging, professionalism and good relationships.

We are not seeking perfection.

We are looking for a pedagogue who wants to be an active part of the community, apply their professionalism, and at the same time be curious about others.

For we believe that a good working life isn't about us being the same. It’s about us getting along well – even when we are different.

We believe we are each other’s work environment.

Who do we hope to match with?

First and foremost you must be a trained pedagogue . For us, pedagogical professionalism is important, and we are looking for a colleague who has their education in tow and wants to actively bring it into daily practice.

In addition, we hope that you

• thrive with both professional reflections and laughter in daily life
• can take responsibility and at the same time make your colleagues look good
• are curious about the children and about what lies behind their actions
• can create calm and structure, but also seize the spontaneous
• want to develop both yourself and our shared practice
• want to contribute to developing our nature profile
• can see yourself in a daily life where rubber boots, mud and unforeseen adventures are part of it
• that you can see yourself opening a new room. There will be 5-6 children to start with, and it will be built up gradually.

What we take seriously

For us the children are the core task.

When we are with the children, we are with the children.

We work with a clear and recognizable structure in the rooms because we believe that present adults, predictability and strong relationships create the best framework for the children.

We work according to Greve Municipality's view of children , where we believe that all children do the best they can, and that children's development occurs in relationships.

We work, among other things, with Marte Meo , and all staff will, in the coming years, attend a six-day Marte Meo course. We do this because we want a common professional language and to continually improve together.

We take professionalism seriously—but we don't think that professionalism needs to be ceremonial. We would like to be curious, ask questions, laugh together and talk openly about both what works and what is difficult.

We are also moving out into nature

We are developing Lunas Ark toward becoming a nature-profiled institution .

For us, it's not just about being more outdoors. We want to actively use nature in our pedagogical work and give the children the opportunity to explore, experiment, sense, move, and be curious about the world they are part of.

We have a nature guide attached who helps us develop our practice and provides inspiration and knowledge that we can take directly into everyday life.

And we have good facilities to do it in. Our new playground provides plenty of opportunities for motor-skill challenges, play and immersion. We will, among other things, get a fenced-off area with workshop, chickens, bonfire hut, shelter and outdoor kitchen .

So yes – we hope you enjoy professional reflections.

But we also hope you enjoy exploring with the children, building something from a branch, examining a beetle, cooking over a fire or just standing in the rain and finding out what the day brings.

Hugs, presence and rubber boots – it’s actually not such a bad combination.
