Maintenance smith sought for a brand new and state-of-the-art production facility in Vejen – permanent evening shift

JKS Tech&Metal is recruiting on behalf of Danish Crown a skilled and independent maintenance smith for a new, modern production facility in Vejen.

The facility is used for slicing and packaging of fresh products, and therefore this is food production and not slaughterhouse work.

You will become an important part of the technical operations, where you, in close collaboration with the production team, must ensure that the plant runs optimally. The job offers a varied daily routine with mechanical fault-finding, repairs and maintenance of modern production equipment.

The position is newly established and on a fixed evening shift.

Your tasks

• Daily operation and maintenance of the new production facility
• Mechanical fault-finding and repair on machines and production equipment
• Servicing and maintenance of hydraulics, compressors and pumps
• Replacement of worn and defective machine parts
• Minor welding tasks, primarily in stainless steel
• Preventive maintenance and optimization of the plant
• Close collaboration with production to ensure stable operation

We are looking for

• Is trained as a smith, klejnsmed (sheet metal worker), industrial smith, or has a similar mechanical background
• Preferably has experience with maintenance of production facilities and industrial machines
• Has knowledge of hydraulics, pumps and mechanical installations
• Can perform smaller welding tasks, preferably in stainless steel
• Is good at fault finding and can work independently
• Is solution-oriented, responsible and thrives in a varied workday
• Wants to work with modern technology in a new production environment

Working hours and place of work

Workplace: Danish Crown, Vejen

Working hours: Fixed evening shift, Monday to Friday from approx. 15:00–22:40 with every other Friday off. In connection with holidays and other absence in the technical team flexibility is expected.
