Maintenance Technician

About the job

As our new maintenance technician you will become part of a dedicated team that ensures all equipment runs optimally.

Your primary task is ongoing operation and maintenance, so failures on critical equipment are avoided.

your primary tasks

• Maintenance and troubleshooting on machines such as cranes, lifting gear, grabs etc.
• Mechanical tasks with lathe, milling machine, metrology and lighter welding.
• Assembly tasks and participation in optimization projects or larger renovations.
• Handling of acute breakdowns in a changing everyday life.

The work can be physically demanding and takes place in all types of weather – both on land and at heights. Therefore it is a requirement that you do not have height phobia.

Who are you?

We are looking for a profile with an apprenticeship in the metal field – e.g. as a machinist, industrial mechanic, blacksmith or contractor/agricultural mechanic.

• Work independently and put safety first – for yourself and others.
• Have a B driving license, as well as a forklift certificate. If you have crane C, lifting equipment certificate and telescopic loader, that's a plus but not a requirement.
• Are familiar with IT and can operate in English.

We offer

An exciting workplace at Aarhus Harbor, where two days are rarely the same.

• Work hours: 37 hours per week (7:00-15:00, Friday until 14:30) with paid lunch break.
• No fixed shift: There is no mandatory shift system or on-call, but you may be asked for voluntary overtime and call-out in case of critical machine stop.

• Parking: Free parking at the workplace.
