Academic profile

We are primarily looking for a teacher who has Danish as a major, preferably in combination with language subjects and/or science subjects.

The good local school

Maribo School consists of the Blæsenborg and Borgerskole departments, with a total of 470 students from 0th–10th grade and after-school care (SFO) at Blæsenborg. There are 75 skilled and engaged staff members – all working to create a good local school where there is respect for each other's areas of expertise and good cooperation. Your place of employment will be the Borgerskole department.

In the Borgerskole department there are 200 students from 7th–10th grade and approximately 30 staff members. Here we have a clear goal to make our students as skilled as they can become, both in terms of formation and education. We believe in community, and that all people do the best they can. Therefore we place a high value on relationships and the individual's well-being in our work, so that we will also in the future be an attractive place for students, parents and staff.

Your daily life

We are organized around teams around year groups, classes and subjects, so you will always have an sparring partner nearby. If you are a recent graduate you will get a mentor, and otherwise we have a wide range of mentors you can use for academic sparring. We emphasize joint preparation, just as there is individual preparation which you can arrange yourself. There are individual preparation spaces for staff, as well as a common staff room where we gather for meetings, breaks and social events. There is always strong support for social events within the staff group.

Good opportunities in Lolland Municipality

We give newly graduated teachers two extra pay steps, the first 4 years, and in addition we offer all teachers flexible working hours, where there is in principle presence for teaching, team and staff meetings, while the placement of the individual preparation is up to the individual employee.

We want to help newly graduated teachers get a good start and therefore we support an external mentoring program that links theory and practice. The mentoring program contains three workshops, five coaching hours with a mentor, and opportunities to network with other newly graduated teachers.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement and according to the principles of local wage formation.

The position is expected to be placed within a total salary range of approximately 37,988 – 46,622 DKK per month excluding pension and supplements. In addition there is a pension of 17.30% and flex pension of 1.64% as well as any qualification, function and genetillæg (special allowances).

Please note that a child protection background check and a criminal record check will be obtained for the person offered the position.

The position is full-time and is expected to be filled by 1 December 2026.
