Job description

Are you ready to kickstart your career in one of the Nordic region's largest engineering houses? Then apply for an internship at AFRY!

With us you, as an intern, get to test your skills on exciting projects and work closely with a skilled team that helps you develop your competences in practice.

"As a marine engineering intern at AFRY I have been very well received and from day one have felt like part of the team. Here there are no questions too stupid, and everyone is ready to help, which gives confidence to independently solve professional tasks with solid sparring. In addition to exciting and challenging tasks, I experience a modern, consulting engineering company with freedom under responsibility and room to grow."

About the tasks

We are looking for an intern for our Electrical Engineering & BMS team. Here we work with everything from electrical installations, automated systems and project development. The team consists of 13 skilled colleagues with different backgrounds, including engineers, master electricians, installers and technical designers. We work closely together, share knowledge and help each other find the best, sustainable solutions for our customers.

In your internship you will, among other things, get to try your hand at

  • outfitting hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, etc.
  • being involved in preparing, for example, main distribution diagrams, floor plans and the arrangement of routing paths in Revit
  • carrying out cable sizing in Simaris, Caneco-BT, etc.
  • carrying out lighting and voltage drop calculations, etc.
  • participating in both internal and external design meetings, authorities and client meetings as well as supervision on some of our projects during execution.

The internship is expected to start in early January 2027.

Qualifications

We imagine that you are currently studying to become a master electrician or electrical engineer. A background as electrician or another relevant vocational training is an advantage - but not a requirement.

We expect that you

  • can work independently and take initiative
  • have drive and a desire to learn
  • thrive as a team player in an environment with sparring and constructive, solution-oriented dialogue
