Mechanical Engineer Intern/Bachelor Internship at Verdo Produktion

Are you ready to put your professional knowledge to the test in real life? At Verdo Produktion we are looking for mechanical engineer interns from the 8th semester who will be part of everyday life at Randers combined heat and power plant and gain practical experience with operation and monitoring of a modern facility.

Your internship period

Your internship will be based in the control room of Randers kraftvarmeværk, where you will be attached to a shift team and follow the daily operation. You will receive a broad introduction to the plant and the most important procedures. At the end of the internship you will have the opportunity to focus on your bachelor project with professional sparring from the team.

The job

In your daily work you will monitor the plant via the SCADA system and by rounds at the plant. You will participate in operation optimization with a focus on using resources efficiently and sustainably.

In addition, you will contribute to planning maintenance tasks and to ensuring the plant's operation and availability when interventions are needed, so the plant is always ready to deliver.

About you

We envision that you are studying as a mechanical engineer on the 8th semester and would like to work practically with your professional skills. A trades background is an advantage, but not a requirement. You are curious, autonomous and ready to take responsibility, and you thrive on collaborating with colleagues in a busy everyday life.

About Verdo Produktion

Verdo Produktion A/S operates a power plant in Randers, consisting of 2 grate-fired boilers, a turbine and peak-load boilers (with various auxiliary systems). The power plant supplies district heating to Verdo Varme A/S, which distributes district heating to Randers city and surrounding areas. At the same time we deliver electricity to the 60 kV network via turbine and generator.
