Maternity leave vacancy: Faaborg-Midtfyn Music School is seeking a teacher for Music and Movement (0th grade), Musical Workshop (1st grade), kindergarten collaboration, beginner bands and solo piano.

About the position

Faaborg-Midtfyn Music School is seeking a dedicated and skilled teacher for a versatile teaching position of 27 hours per week with start on December 1, 2026. The teaching is distributed over three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

As a teacher with us you will become part of a creative and inspiring teaching environment, where you will teach in music and movement (0th grade group), musical workshop (1st grade group), kindergarten groups, beginner bands and some piano students. The position is a maternity leave substitute and it is possible to apply for either the full position or parts of it. A natural division could, for example, be to apply for the kindergarten groups, music and movement and musical workshop. Or bands and piano students.

The teaching takes place

• Tuesday at 09:15-18:05 in the Ryslinge area
• Wednesday at 09:00-17:35 in the Faaborg area
• Thursday at 09:00-16:55 in the Nørre Lyndelse area

The working hours will shift slightly over the season depending on which kindergarten groups are active.

Faaborg-Midtfyn Music School is a workplace with a focus on employee well-being, professional development, and that it should be fun to go to work. Faaborg-Midtfyn Music School is a music school with teaching in its own premises in Ringe, Årslev and Faaborg as well as decentralized teaching at many of the municipality's schools and institutions. The music school has about 35 teachers, as well as a music school leader, a deputy head and a secretary. You will join the music school's teaching team where competence development, sparring and well-being are in focus.

Your primary tasks will be teaching in

• Music and Movement : Offerings for 0th grade, with a focus on creating musical and movement activities that stimulate the children’s motor skills and musical understanding such as pulse, rhythm, tempo, dynamics and timbre in a playful approach.
• Musical Workshop : Offerings for 1st grade. A continuation of music and movement with greater focus on instruments and still with a playful and motor-oriented approach.
• Kindergarten groups: Collaboration with kindergartens in the municipality, where you visit each kindergarten group 10 times. Focus is on song games and musical games, e.g. with rattle eggs.
• Mini- and junior band: Band teaching for beginner students.
• Instrumental teaching : solo piano teaching, tailored to the students’ level and development.

In addition, there will be participation in staff meetings, events and concerts. These may take place on days other than teaching days.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The salary range is from grade 29 (32,427.17 DKK + pension) to grade 41 (39,414.09 DKK + pension).
