Mathematics teacher for 2nd grade at Pilegårdsskolen

Are you a trained teacher with a major in mathematics - then we have some lovely students and a good schedule for you in a permanent full-time position from September 15, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The majority of your teaching will be in two of our five year-2 classes, where in one of the two classes you will also have a half-class teacher function. In addition to mathematics you will teach in standard subjects. There are also some resource hours in the schedule.

You will be attached to one team in our 2nd year cohort.

In primary school we work in year-group teams with a horizontal team structure, in contrast to the upper school, which works in a vertical team structure from 6th-9th grade.

Pilegårdsskolen is one of 7 public schools in Tårnby Municipality's school system. We are about 85 teachers to 1150 students in grades 0-9. The school is located in a detached housing area close to Amager Fælled and with short distance to the many after-school offers in both Tårnby and Copenhagen. It has a good reputation, experiences strong support among district parents and is closely anchored in the local community.

If you are newly qualified In Tårnby Municipality we offer in collaboration with DLF, Section 13, an introduction program for newly qualified teachers and kindergarten leaders. This takes place in coordination with your principal, union representative and occupational safety representative.

The first two years as a newly qualified teacher you will also have reduced teaching time, and at all schools there is a mentoring scheme. We take care to give you a good start to your teaching life.

Salary and employment terms The employment is in accordance with the current agreement with the Danish Teachers' Union after negotiation.

The municipality's employment policy means that references will be obtained from previous and current places of work at hiring. If you have been employed in Tårnby Municipality, a reference will always be taken from there. In addition, a criminal record certificate and a child safeguarding certificate must be presented at employment. The employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
