Mathematics Teacher for Lørslev Free School

Are you passionate about mathematics, children and community? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for!

We are seeking a skilled mathematics teacher who meets both younger and older students with warmth, clarity and the belief that everyone can develop – regardless of starting point.

We imagine that you are teacher trained with a major in mathematics or have corresponding subject and didactic competences. You are committed to making mathematics understandable and exciting, and you can support and challenge the students at their various academic levels. Part of the teaching takes place with two teachers in the classroom, so joint preparation, collaboration and professional sparring are a natural part of the job.

The position also includes hours in our SFO , so if you can contribute with a practical-musical subject, an interest in outdoor life or similar, that is definitely an advantage.

You must be a warm-hearted and clear role model who easily forms positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

You must be able to thrive in a small staff group with humor and an informal tone.

You must be reliable and helpful; we lift as a team.

Lørslev Free School is a small and well-established school with good facilities both indoors and outdoors. We have 88 pupils from 0th to 9th grade, distributed on smaller combined classes.

We take care to create a wonderful school day where well-being and academic achievement go hand in hand.

We actively use the nature around the school in teaching. We like to go on trips – and it is often by bike, so it is a must that you can think “by bike out of the house” in your teaching.

For us there is little time from idea to action, so you must be adaptable and ready to jump on fun initiatives where you need to think creatively, practically and differently.

The position is a permanent appointment at 75% – preferably starting on 1 November or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salary and employment terms follow the current agreement between LC and the Ministry of Finance.
