Job title

HVAC engineer

Location

Apply for the position

Do you want to work with plumbing and HVAC on projects where the solutions must work in real life – even when buildings are complex, installations existing and the requirements high?

At Sweco we are seeking an HVAC engineer who has built a solid professional foundation and now wants to take the next step. You will work with both design and technical consulting and have the opportunity to follow the solutions from initial considerations to commissioning.

You will become part of the Existing Buildings and Specialties division, where we are 300+ colleagues with strong specialist competencies in areas such as technical installations, buildings and structures, and property development.

Part of Renovation & Installations

In Renovation & Installations we work with some of the most exciting and complex buildings and installations – often in close collaboration with both customers and other disciplines at Sweco.

A common thread across projects is that we work closely with the existing building stock. This requires technical understanding, collaboration and the ability to find solutions that work in the specific building and its operation.

You will also be part of a professional environment where we spar across disciplines, share knowledge and make use of each other’s specialist competencies.

Your role

As an HVAC engineer you will have a varied daily life with both design and advisory work. Depending on the project and your experience, you may take responsibility for your own deliverables and disciplines, while having experienced colleagues around you to collaborate with.

Your tasks will include

  • Design and advisory within HVAC
  • Preparation of descriptions, tender material and technical documentation
  • Advisory work with a view to both design, operation and the overall solution
  • Collaboration with customers, colleagues and other disciplines through the project phases
  • Technical sparring and fault-finding on existing installations
  • Contributing to solutions within energy optimization, indoor climate and waterborne systems

You will experience that projects vary in size and complexity, and that your role develops in line with your level of expertise and the tasks you want to take responsibility for.

HVAC is your area of expertise

We envision that you have a relevant technical education such as an engineer, installer or similar and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with HVAC.

The most important is that you have a solid technical foundation and a desire to develop further. In addition, we would like you to:

  • Have experience with design and advisory within HVAC
  • Understand technical installations and the interaction between design and operation
  • Be able to work independently with your tasks while thriving in a project team
  • Be curious about technical problems and motivated to find solutions
  • Enjoy dialogue and collaboration with both customers and colleagues

You do not need to know everything from day one. Instead, we expect you to want to take responsibility for your professional development and actively contribute to the projects and the professional community around you.

A strong professional environment around you

At Sweco you will have an opportunity to develop through projects, responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues across disciplines. You will become part of a department with high professional standards and an informal atmosphere, where there is short distance to sparring when you need it.

We believe the best solutions are created when different disciplines work closely together – and when there is room for individuals to develop their own professional stance and take more responsibility over time.
