Narsarsuaq Dagtilbud for 0-3-årige

We are seeking an employee for the day care for 0-3-year-olds, is it you who is interested in the position?

Kujalleq Municipality, in our close work with children, we place emphasis on children developing through creativity and innovation, and therefore we are looking for someone who has experience with creative work with children.

Work and responsibilities

You will share responsibility in fulfilling the Inatsisartut Act on pedagogically developmental offers to children in preschool age no. 62 of 20 November 2023.

• Childcare
• Maintain a close collaboration with the child’s guardians and work based on the child’s current situation.
• Plan daily activities for the children
• Ensure documentation, including child files and MIIM 3 and MIIM 5.

Expectations of you

• A pedagogical education or similar is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• That you are proactive and able to take responsibility.
• That you are willing to engage in pedagogical discussions about our work.
• That you can set boundaries with respect to children.

We offer

• Salary and employment terms, including entitlement to travel allowances in connection with starting and relocation, in accordance with the applicable agreements and collective agreements between Naalakkersuisut and your bargaining organization.

Criminal records and child protection check

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal records and child protection checks. In accordance with the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal records and child protection checks. We must therefore note that the start date can only be agreed when the municipality has received the child protection certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

Child protection checks are obtained by the municipality with the consent of the person concerned, where the criminal record is obtained by the person from the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) or another relevant bargaining organization.

Start date: To be agreed with the applicant

Employment will be with a 3-month probationary period

Housing

For the position, staff housing may be allocated, for which a deposit and rent, consumption, etc. will be paid according to the current rules for rent payments in Greenland Self-Government and municipality properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon start, a temporary vacation housing will be offered to employees with the right to vacation housing, for which rent, consumption, etc. will be paid according to the above.

Arrival travel as well as household effects relocation will be provided according to the current rules.
