Media Graphics Trainee for Kulturmaskinen and Odense Libraries

Are you currently studying to become a media graphic designer? Would you like to work with creative and innovative tasks and campaigns for two exciting cultural institutions? Then you may be our new media graphics trainee.

Kulturmaskinen and Odense Libraries are seeking in early January 2027 a skilled and creative media graphics trainee for the main program, who can help solve a wide range of diverse graphic tasks of high quality.

About us

You will become part of a marketing team that supports both Kulturmaskinen and Odense Libraries, and which is anchored in the CB & Development department at the Main Library.

We are in an exciting development process, where we are working to consolidate marketing competencies across the organization to create one strong and cohesive marketing team. As part of this effort you will play an important role in developing the marketing collaboration of the future and will work closely with colleagues and disciplines across the entire organization.

At the same time you will have a central role in developing graphic designs and visual solutions for the festival Magiske Dage Odense , which is held every year and attracts up to 20,000 visitors from across the country.

About the education

Your primary tasks will be

• Design and layout of brochures, posters, roll-ups and outdoor media
• Production of files for digital media
• Marketing of events and festivals both on offline and online media
• Ad hoc graphic tasks
• Participation in planning and execution of campaigns
• Production of graphics and video for, among other things, social media

Who are you?

• You have completed or are completing the foundation course for the main program in the media graphics education no later than at start with us
• You are positive, outgoing and have a sense of humor
• You work well independently, and also have good collaboration skills
• You are open and ready to learn new things
• You have an eye for detail and ‘good enough’ can almost always be improved in your view
• You have a sense of order

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed under the applicable agreement with HK on full-time 37 hours per week. You will receive salary during the entire education period.

Salary rates as of 1 April 2026

The salary for media graphic designer apprentices under 25 years is between 15,224.83 DKK per month and 17,945.23 DKK per month.

The salary for adult apprentices over 25 years is 25,817.75 DKK per month.

Remember to attach your relevant exam certificates/foundation course certificates as well as examples of graphic work you have done. If you have not yet received your exam certificate, attach your midterm grades. If you have been granted credit for parts of the entry requirements, these must also be attached.

If you are over 25, you must attach a recognition of prior learning (RPL) from your school. This also applies if you are already pursuing the main program at a school apprenticeship and it needs to be shortened for parts of the main program.

The practical

Employment interviews are expected to be held on 12 November 2026.

The job will commence on 4 January 2027.
