About the job
Mastery and Opportunities in the Labour Market & Social, Skanderborg Municipality, are seeking two mastery counsellors with employment from 1 January 2027.
There is a permanent position of 37 hours per week as well as a maternity leave cover of 30 hours per week, possibly higher hours upon request.
The target group for the services from the mastery counsellors are citizens with mental and/or social challenges who need a supportive intervention to be able to master their own lives. We work recovery‑oriented with a focus on citizens' resources and based on their goals and dreams.
The department is part of Labour Market and Social, and therefore it is natural that we have a strong focus on education and employment as part of our social efforts. We thus have close cross‑departmental collaboration, where the mastery counsellors' task is also to support citizens' participation in employment‑oriented offers, education or work.
In Mastery and Opportunities we work consciously and purposefully to develop our professionality and we are in continuous development both individually and collectively. We have an informal tone and place great emphasis on our professional and collegial community within the department and across the entire Labour Market and Social.
Digital solutions are becoming an increasingly larger part of our task, which is why good digital prerequisites and openness to new systems are important. You must be ready to apply digital solutions relevant to your task execution, as these are under continuous development.
We are looking for a colleague who
- Has a relevant social work education, e.g. pedagogue, occupational therapist, social worker or similar
- Has experience working with citizens with mental health challenges
- Works based on the recovery‑oriented rehabilitative approach
- Can work in an unpredictable everyday life, where you must plan your own time and tasks
- Is adaptable to changes in tasks and ongoing changes in the organisation
- Has good communication skills, both orally and in writing, including a focus on ongoing documentation in the work
- Can create a professional, trustful and equal collaboration with citizens, colleagues and partner organisations
- Contributes positively to the overall working environment
- Has a driver's license (a requirement)
We offer
- An exciting workplace in continual development
- Skilled and engaged colleagues
- Ongoing supervision and always the possibility for professional sparring
- A good working environment characterized by respect and mutual trust
- Health scheme
