Midtjysk Efterskole seeks a technical caretaker with expertise in plumbing, heating control and swimming pool operation

Are you a trained craftsman, and do you have solid experience with VVS , varmestyring and teknisk vedligehold ? Midtjysk Efterskole in Ejstrupholm is seeking an independent janitor who can manage our technical installations – including our swimming pool .

Your primary tasks

• Swimming pool operation: You are responsible for the daily operation, monitoring and maintenance of the swimming pool's equipment, water quality and filtration system. The school’s swimming pool regularly requires cleaning and an overhaul of stainless steel parts.
• Technical installations & VVS: You monitor and optimize the school's heating control and ventilation systems via our CTS system. You are responsible for daily maintenance of the school's VVS installations.
• General maintenance: Various tasks and repairs in cooperation with our other janitors – outdoors as indoors.
• Projects: You participate in smaller and larger projects – from renovating rooms to our outdoor facilities.

Who are you?

• You are good at collaborating with everyone at our school.
• You work independently with an eye for tasks that need to be solved.
• We are looking for a person with good social skills who will take on the tasks, approach them with professionalism, good humor and authority. And at the same time enjoy being surrounded by lively young people, who from time to time can disrupt everyday life – in a good way.
• You may be willing to engage the students in some tasks. Perhaps you would like to have your own elective subject?
• You have knowledge of, or are willing to learn, the rules and techniques behind safe swimming pool operation and water treatment.
• You work in a structured manner, take responsibility and maintain an overview of the technical systems.
• Can you keep several balls in the air and be ready for multiple interruptions during the day?
• You live nearby, as the job may involve being called in. The job includes shift work on some weekends/holidays and during events. We currently have a rotation system for Easter, winter and autumn holidays.

The practical
