About the job

Get the opportunity to work within a wide range of the midwifery field.

Become part of our pregnancy ward for admitted pregnant women. Here you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in work with pregnant women with obstetric, medical and social issues and contribute to safe and coherent care pathways.

Over the past year we have strengthened the collaboration between the pregnancy ward and the induction ward to create better coherence and greater continuity for pregnant women who require admission in connection with induction of labor.

There is the possibility to combine the position with shifts on the Maternity ward, in the Antenatal and Labour Admission or on the Labour Ward, if you wish to maintain a broad obstetric profile.

We are looking for a colleague who is interested in working with

  • Hospitalized pregnant women with, among others, threatening preterm birth, preterm contractions or rupture of membranes, hypertension and preeclampsia
  • Pregnant women with medical and surgical diseases
  • Dysregulated GDM, diet- and insulin treatment
  • Vulnerable pregnant women with psychological and/or social problems
  • Induction processes where there is an indication for admission, including observation and care in the latent phase
  • Induction of labor both for outpatient pathways and inpatient pathways
  • To create coherent induction pathways for our admitted inductions.

Midwives, nurses, social and health care assistants and doctors work closely across disciplines around our admitted patients. We value each other’s professionalism and competences, and we learn from each other across the departments.

We work with patient involvement based on the approach of shared decision making, where pregnant women and families are active partners in their care. It is part of our ongoing work to change the culture in the health system, where patients’ wishes, values and resources are actively included in decisions where there is a choice. As a midwife with us, you become part of this approach and co-create coherent, individual and meaningful patient pathways.

We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration between patients, relatives and professionals, and we work purposefully with multidisciplinary cooperation to ensure high quality and continuity in treatment.

With us you get

  • A high professional level, with focus on quality and innovation.
  • A varied workday with many different tasks, patient contacts and collaboration interfaces
  • Engaged and skilled colleagues who prioritize professional sparring, helpfulness and a good working environment
  • An workplace with room to grow, good collegiality and room for personal and professional development
  • Opportunity to contribute to ongoing cultural development, where shared decision-making is an active part of everyday life, where good patient pathways are continuously developed
  • A close collaboration with our medical group and staff at the two surrounding wards, Gynaecology and the Maternity Ward
  • Great influence on the shift schedule, with weekend work every 2nd or 3rd weekend
  • Scheduling with a focus on balance between work and private life
  • Thorough introduction with a mentor program and training for relevant roles
  • Opportunity to work broadly within obstetrics including pregnancy, birth and maternity.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is passionate about working with pregnant women with complicated obstetric pathways
  • Has a high professional level and can work independently, take responsibility and make professional decisions
  • Can maintain an overview and work in a structured way in a department with sometimes high patient flow
  • Sees opportunities rather than limitations and actively contributes to development of practice
  • Appreciates both mono- and multidisciplinary collaboration and contributes to good relationships across departments and professions
  • Put the patient and family at the center and works to support their resources and involvement
  • Actively contributes to a safe, inspiring and developing work environment where we help each other.
