About the job
Come and become part of a strong midwifery community where professional expertise, influence and wellbeing go hand in hand.
In the maternity ward at Hillerød, we help around 4,200 families each year on their journey through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. With our size, we can combine proximity, coherent pathways and time for the individual family with a strong professional community and broad professional breadth.
Here you will have the opportunity to develop your competences while also being part of an exciting journey as we move together towards the New North Zealand Hospital.
We are now seeking 4 permanent positions of 25-37 hours per week, with employment from 1 February 2027, or by agreement.
We offer
A varied working day close to the families
The maternity ward is the department’s hub, but you will have the opportunity to combine the work with other functions, so you get natural variation and development in your working life.
You can, among other things, work with
- Acute and admitted pregnant patients
- Induction pathways
- Maternity ward, where midwives plan and coordinate the birth process from the first meeting
- Outreach home visits after ambulatory births and home births
- Postnatal midwife function with postnatal consultations and postnatal conversations
- The regional home birth scheme
- Caesarean section team in close multidisciplinary collaboration with doctors and nurses
- Midwifery consultations on four sites in the catchment area.
Professionalism is our common foundation
For us, professionalism is something we build together. We prioritise professional development highly and work closely across disciplines to ensure the best possible pathways for families. You will become part of a dedicated and multidisciplinary community where knowledge sharing, sparring and learning are a natural part of everyday life.
Flexibility and influence on your working life
We know that a good working life looks different from person to person. Therefore we work targeted to create flexible frameworks and give you great influence over planning your working life.
With us you get
- Great influence on your own shift pattern
- Possibility to work every 3rd weekend
- Choice between 8- and 12-hour shifts on both weekdays and weekends
- An engaged shift planning team that helps create a balance between work and private life.
We are proud to be an employer where professionalism and community come together in everyday life. Our midwives, social and health care assistants and doctors work very closely together and we therefore place great emphasis on strong collegial relationships, both in work and in social life through our staff association.
Be part of shaping the future maternity department
In 2027 we move into the New North Zealand Hospital. This means you get a unique opportunity to become part of developing the future maternity department and contribute with your experience and ideas in an exciting change process.
We are looking for you who
- Have Nordic authorization as a midwife
- Thrives in a multidisciplinary environment
- Are keen on both professional development and collegial community
- Contributes actively to a good working environment.
