Environmental worker – businesses and agriculture

We are seeking an employee to carry out tasks related to companies and agriculture. In Guldborgsund Municipality there are approx. 240 small and medium-sized enterprises as well as approx. 230 farms with livestock, where the municipality is the approval and supervisory authority.

Your primary tasks will be case processing, supervision and preparation of environmental approvals for several types of companies and agriculture. Additionally there are tasks with handling of complaints and access-to-information requests.

You will have a relatively large contact surface with citizens, companies, farmers and consultants, so emphasis will be placed on having good collaboration skills.

We also place great emphasis on a solution-oriented and service-minded approach to the authority's work.

You will join a professional group – businesses and agriculture - with other employees, but you will also have the opportunity to develop and shape the solution of tasks yourself. Your tasks will be solved in close collaboration with colleagues in other professional groups, e.g. within wastewater, waterways, nature, etc., as well as with coordination and consultations with other departments.

Your tasks will be composed according to your knowledge and experience and ongoingly in relation to your competence development.

Professional competences

We expect that you have a relevant natural or environmental science education, preferably at bachelor or master level. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of case processing and legislation in the field, including environmental law. It will be emphasized that you have experience with IT tools for registering and reporting data as well as ESDH systems. You must have a driver's license (B).

Personal competences

We value that you are responsible, imaginative and have good written and verbal communication skills. At the same time you must be able to work independently as well as with others. You must be service-oriented, meticulous and a good closer.

Salary and employment

Salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement. The workplace is Guldborgsund Town Hall, Parkvej 37, 4800 Nykøbing Falster.

The position is 37 hours per week. There will be opportunities for home office days.
