About the job
Do you have solid experience working with state IT systems and would you help secure safety in Denmark?
About the Ministry of Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness
The Ministry of Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness, in close collaboration with relevant sectors, is responsible for preventing, resisting and handling major accidents, crises, disasters and other events that challenge the society's fundamental functions – whether it concerns cyberattacks, sabotage, espionage or extreme weather events. Our ambition is to integrate emergency preparedness, crisis management and resilience across sectors so society is stronger – both in everyday life and during crises.
The ministry consists of the department and two professional agencies: The Agency for Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness and the Civil Protection Agency.
About the position
We are looking for a colleague who has solid experience in managing business ownership of state IT systems. You will have primary responsibility for steering and developing the business strategic direction for selected secure IT systems in MSSB's area in collaboration with IT suppliers and with close involvement of management and key stakeholders in central administration, including:
- Responsible for ensuring that the IT systems at all times best meet the business needs for functionality and service levels, including in relation to ongoing development of the systems and strategic direction thereof.
- Responsible for ensuring that central stakeholders are involved closely and continuously with relevant information about the IT systems.
- Advise management and the most important stakeholders on changes and further development of the IT systems.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the IT systems at all times within the framework of applicable security, legal and commercial conditions.
About you
You have a relevant education and in-depth knowledge of the role as business owner for secure IT systems. As a person you are independent and structured and can translate technical knowledge about IT systems into decision proposals and guidance to senior management in central administration as well as to colleagues. You thrive in a changing daily life with an informal tone.
In addition to the above requirements for the position, we imagine that you
- Have relevant experience that can contribute to achieving our goal of further structuring the business ownership around the systems.
- Are security-conscious and think security from the start in projects.
- Are a constructive partner who can create and maintain good relations both internally and externally.
- Have a deep IT understanding, especially within technical system requirements.
- Are adaptable and ready to handle system issues at odd times.
