Mobile Network Engineer / Specialist – LTE Core & 5G Private Networks

Do you want to help set the framework for development and design of Denmark's most secure and robust mobile network? Then you may be our new Mobile Network Engineer in Cibicom's Engineering department.

About the role

In this role you will be a key player in the development and design of the future mobile network and mission critical solutions. You will have a technical responsibility for our Securecom LTE450 Core network and be involved in shaping the development and expansion of our critical network infrastructure.

As part of the role you will also have the opportunity to work with 5G private networks (Private Mobile Networks / Campus networks), where you help build tailored, closed mobile networks with high requirements for latency, bandwidth and data security.

You will among other things help build customer-facing solutions within mission-critical M2M solutions as well as IP-based voice solutions and other customer-facing applications where robustness, redundancy and security are central. You will get close sparring with experienced colleagues in Engineering as well as in the general network department, where you will help connect the threads and drive the projects to completion.

In addition, you will participate in presales meetings, where you act as a technical sparring partner for customers and translate their needs into concrete solution designs. You are hands-on with the implementation of solutions while also being able to take a holistic view of the entire network and set direction together with your immediate supervisor.

Your tasks will include

• Contribute to the design, optimization and operation of the LTE/5G Core network and integrations to other network elements.
• Work with advisory, design and deployment of 5G private networks tailored to specific customer needs.
• Drive the implementation and testing of IP-based voice solutions and other mission critical services.
• Participate in the future technical development and further expansion of the mobile network.
• Participate in presales activities, including technical presentations, discovery meetings and workshops with customers.
• Prepare solid technical documentation and ensure structured knowledge transfer to operations and support (NOC).
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, IT and Networking, Field Service, NOC) as well as external suppliers and technology partners.

We are looking for someone who has

• A relevant engineering education (bachelor/master) or equivalent technical background.
• Experience from a similar role within LTE/5G Core networks (EPC/5GC).
• Knowledge of or experience with IP-based voice solutions would be an advantage (e.g., VoLTE, VoNR, SIP/IMS).
• Curiosity and willingness to work with 5G private networks.
• It is an advantage if you have tried your hand at solution design, technical project management or a lead/architect role – but the most important is your practical understanding of core networks and a desire to develop in the role.
• Knowledge of mission critical solutions or emergency network and ITIL processes is beneficial.

Other requirements

• Clear criminal record.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance with the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE).
• You must be able to operate professionally and technically in Danish.
