Morsø Youth School seeks staff for Pusterummet

Do you want to make a difference for young people with school refusal and very high absence?

Morsø Youth School is seeking two engaged employees for temporary positions in our new initiative Pusterummet – From Breathing Space to a Stepping Stone .

Pusterummet is an offer to youths in 7th–10th grade who have full school refusal or very high school absenteeism. The aim is to create a safe breathing space where relationships, well-being and positive experiences become the first step back to community, leisure, school and education.

We are looking for

Position 1: Coordinator and pedagogical professional - 32 hours per week

In collaboration with your supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the initiative and will be the consistent adult in the youths' journeys.

Responsibilities

• Conversations with young people and parents
• Planning and carrying out activities
• Relationship building and individual support
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and bridging connections
• Documentation, follow-up and aftercare

Position 2: Pedagogical staff member - 10 hours per week

You will be an important part of the daily work with the young people.

Responsibilities

• Participation in activities and practice sessions
• Relationship work with the youths
• Sparring and follow-up together with the coordinator
• Contributing to creating a safe and motivating community
• Interest in creative activities, which are carried out in our creative workshop

In both positions we are looking for someone who

• Has a pedagogical, teaching-related or social work background
• Has experience with youths in distress
• Is strong in relationship work
• Believes in young people's possibilities for development and dares to take that extra step when required

About Pusterummet

Youths participate in a 15-week program focusing on relationships, well-being, mastery and future prospects. The activities build on creative and practical communities such as technology, painting, ceramics, design and crafts. The pedagogical aim should target quality in relationship work, stabilization of the youth and the transition to new stepping stones.

Employment

These are two fixed-term positions at 32 and 10 hours per week respectively. The hours may be adjusted. In the summer of 2027 it will be decided whether the offer becomes permanent.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement.

Employment as soon as possible.

Prior to employment a child certificate will be obtained.
