Movia seeks a Traffic and Mobility Advisor

At Movia we are looking for a new colleague for our advisory area. In the job you will drive planning tasks, analyses and projects while also being part of the ongoing advisory of our 45 municipalities and two regions, which own Movia and finance the regional and municipal public transport.

At Movia we work to ensure more people travel by public transport. We shall contribute to coherent mobility and coordination between the different transport modes that customers' journeys consist of, and at the same time be able to think forward and long-term about the municipalities' and regions' overall procurement of public transport.

As an advisor you should among other things

• Advise municipalities and regions on ordering of public transport (the transport ordering process)
• Prepare solution proposals and traffic briefs for bus operations or optimize the current operations
• Follow up and evaluate the public transport service
• Contribute to and participate in projects and development tasks that cross Movia's organization or with external partners
• Contribute to further developing Movia's advisory services

The everyday as advisor

As advisor you become the contact person for up to 5 municipalities, and will have the responsibility for the cooperation and the ongoing dialogue between them and Movia. You will be required to answer questions and solve tasks related to public transport in the individual municipality, but will also need to advise more broadly on mobility, both across municipalities and in a regional perspective.

Part of a well-established team and freedom in task planning

You will become part of a well-established team in Movia's advisory area, which currently counts 15 employees, where there is a strong emphasis on good collegiality and professional sparring. Most tasks we solve in close cooperation with both internal and external partners. You will report to Movia's advisory manager, who also has personnel responsibility for the colleagues in the area.

Who do we imagine you are?

You have

• A relevant educational background such as engineer, urban planner, geographer, economist or similar higher education
• An interest in planning and development of public transport and coherent mobility
• Flair for numbers and analyses, and a sense for communicating them through inspiring presentations and sharp professional notes
• Political acumen, and perhaps you have previously worked in a political environment and therefore have insight into political processes and experience with servicing a political level, a board etc.
• Desire to build relationships and good collaboration across many actors - both with external partners and internally in a large organization.

Start

The position is a full-time role to be filled by 1 January 2027 or earlier if possible.

Between interviews there will be a testing process.

Salary

The salary is negotiated based on applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications.
