Movia seeks a Traffic and Mobility Advisor

At Movia we are looking for a new colleague for our advisory area. In the job you will drive planning tasks, analyses and projects while also being part of the ongoing advisory service to our 45 municipalities and two regions, which own Movia and finance the regional and municipal public transport.

At Movia we work to get more people to travel collectively. We shall contribute to coherent mobility and coordination between the different transport modes that customers' journeys consist of, and at the same time be able to think ahead and long-term with regard to the municipalities' and regions' total provision of public transport.

As an advisor you will, among other things

• Advise municipalities and regions on the ordering of public transport (the public transport contracting process)
• Develop solution proposals and traffic outlines for bus operations or optimize the current operation
• Follow up and evaluate the provision of public transport services
• Contribute to and participate in projects and development tasks that cut across Movia's organization or with external partners
• Contribute to further developing Movia's advisory services

The day-to-day as an adviser

As an adviser you will be the point of contact for up to 5 municipalities, and will be responsible for the collaboration and ongoing dialogue between them and Movia. You will need to answer questions and solve tasks related to public transport in the individual municipality, but you will also need to advise more broadly on mobility, both across municipalities and in a regional perspective.

Part of an established team and freedom in task planning

You will become part of an established team in Movia's advisory area, which currently counts 15 employees, with a strong emphasis on good collegial relations and professional sparring. Most tasks are solved in close collaboration with both internal and external partners. You will report to Movia's head of advisory services, who also has personnel responsibility for the colleagues in the area.

Who do we imagine you are?

You have

• A relevant educational background such as engineer, urban planner, geographer, economist or similar higher education
• An interest in planning and development of public transport and integrated mobility
• A flair for numbers and analyses, and the ability to convey them through engaging presentations and sharp professional notes
• Political acumen, and perhaps you have previously worked in a political environment and therefore have insight into political processes and experience in serving a political level, a board, etc.
• A desire to build relationships and good collaboration across many actors – both with external partners and internally in a large organization.

Start date

The position is a full-time role to be filled by January 1, 2027 or earlier if possible.

Salary

The salary is negotiated on the basis of the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented professional experience, and your professional and personal qualifications.
