Creative, development-oriented leader with musical expertise and strategic flair sought for Solrød Music School.

You will play a key role in shaping the Music School's future identity and expression – with a view to further developing our environments around music, learning and communities.

The music school is a small unit, well run with 12 fantastic staff employed at different hourly rates. It is anchored in UngSolrød, which in addition to the music school also includes Youth School, SSP, UUSolrød, KUI, 10Solrød, full-time teaching and much else

You will therefore be part of a creative environment with many dedicated colleagues with different professional competencies.

You will have an important role in creating good frameworks for teaching and building connections to schools, institutions and the municipality's other culture/leisure - and music life. As well as creating visibility of the music school's activities for residents of Solrød

The job is a part-time position, where you will among other things be responsible for

• leading the music school's daily work and handling the music school's administrative tasks, planning and operations
• creating opportunities for more children, young people and adults to encounter the music school and become part of musical communities
• creating visibility of the music school's activities and developing our teaching offerings, concerts etc. - preferably in collaboration with other actors in the municipality
• closely monitoring the finances and prioritizing tasks within the given framework
• investigating relevant government subsidies and other funding opportunities in collaboration with the municipality's administration.

We expect that you

• have musical expertise and understanding of teaching and creative learning environments
• can build good relations with staff, students and partners
• can mobilize staff competencies and provide direction without needing to have all answers yourself
• can engage in binding collaborations with both volunteers and colleagues in the municipality's other organization
• are aware that concerts and activities sometimes require work in the afternoon, evening or weekends.

You do not need many years of leadership experience. We place emphasis on your ability to take responsibility, listen, make decisions and create followership.

In addition, you are

• creative and curious, so you can spot new opportunities for the music school
• strategic thinker and able to decide which ideas should be brought to life
• systematic and structured, so projects are completed and daily operations run smoothly
• comfortable with budgets and aware that tight financial management is part of the leadership role
• a collaborative colleague who can lead but also give space to others' initiatives.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a permanent part-time role, with start on January 1, 2027.

Solrød Municipality will obtain criminal and child protection checks before employment.

Salary and employment are governed by the Ny Løn principles and are in accordance with the current collective agreement between the relevant professional organization and KL.

The salary range is 20,934 – 22,646 per month, depending on experience. In addition there is pension and possibly qualification allowance
