Night shift worker at a residential facility in Bramming

Do you thrive in a job where you work alone at night and can take responsibility, we have the position for you.

We are looking for a night worker for 35 hours per week. The shifts are 7-7, i.e., you work from Monday evening to Monday morning in the following week. The work weeks are the even weeks.

The working period is from 22:00 - 07:00.

The Idræts Allé residential facility is the place where we work purposefully to create well-being and development for the residents, and to create the best possible everyday life.

We respect that everyone should be treated differently in order to be treated equally.

We are two physical houses, but one care facility, which is why cross-site collaboration is prioritized very highly for us.

As a night worker you will have to cover both houses and move between properties at night.

The primary task at night is calming/soothing pedagogy.

There may be residents who are awake at night and need a reassuring dialogue, while others need a helping hand to be guided to bed.

In addition, there are practical tasks such as making lunch packs, possibly preparing accompaniments for dinner, laundry, cleaning of fridges/freezers, etc.

Botilbuddet Idræts Allé Botilbuddet Idræts Allé is a municipal residential facility located in Bramming. The facility is physically divided into 2 houses, with 8 residents in one house and 4 in the other.

As a colleague, you will work in both houses.

The residents are aged 29–74 years. The residents’ functional levels vary widely – both physically and cognitively.

Some residents are helped via verbal guidance and can navigate around the city independently, while others require physical assistance from staff for personal care, diaper changes, dressing, etc. There are 2 residents who use a lift/wheelchair.

All residents except one participate in activity programs outside the home on weekdays.

You will join a staff group consisting of educators, pedagogical assistants and SSAs.

In addition, we have attached unskilled temporary workers who are really capable and also take a large responsibility in the core tasks.

It is rare to experience imbalance among the residents, which also means there is only minimal outward behavior and very few incidents of challenging behavior per year.

Idræts Allé is a structured offer, where there are process descriptions, so it is not difficult to start as a new employee. At the same time, we are extremely helpful colleagues who gladly share knowledge/experience and lend a hand when needed.

We expect that you can work in close relationships, where you will sometimes need to be the temporary nervous system for the residents, thereby creating the necessary calm through your presence.

We expect you to enjoy working at night and to make independent decisions, as you are alone.

We expect you to be reliable.

Furthermore, we expect you to be able to reflect on your own and others’ practices – and dare to put this into practice.

Salary and terms of employment We aim to hire one night worker by 1 January 2027.

The appointment is 35 hours per week on average over 6 weeks, with work in even weeks (7-7 arrangement). Work hours are between 22:00 and 07:00.

Work every 2nd weekend, as well as holidays according to the fixed rotation for Christmas/New Year. We are very flexible with vacation/leave requests.

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the current provisions on local pay formation.
