About the job
Are you service-minded, responsible and good at keeping a clear head – even when the rest of the city is asleep?
Are you also motivated by development, change and the opportunity to become part of something new?
Then you now have an exciting opportunity to become an important part of the transformation of Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen into Denmark's first Citybox hotel.
As of 1 January 2027, Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen will be part of the Citybox chain. We are therefore looking for a full-time night porter who can both ensure a professional and secure operation during the night hours and contribute positively to the transition to a new and modern hotel concept.
About Citybox
Citybox is a Nordic hotel chain with hotels in several European countries and a concept built on simplicity, high quality and smart digital solutions. The goal is to make the hotel experience easy, efficient and accessible – without compromising on quality.
As a night porter you will be part of the establishment of Citybox in Denmark and have the opportunity to be involved in the transition from a traditional hotel setup to a modern hotel concept with a focus on efficient operations, technology and strong guest experiences.
About the position
As a night porter you are the hotel's responsible host during the night hours. You ensure that our guests feel safe, welcomed and well assisted throughout the night.
The hotel's location close to Copenhagen Airport means there is activity at all times of the day. Night shifts are therefore often busy with arrivals, departures and guests who need help. It is important that you thrive in an active work environment, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain calm, perspective and good guest service.
The position requires that you thrive with independent responsibility, while actively contributing to collaboration with the reception and the hotel's other departments.
Your primary tasks
- Ensure a professional and welcoming guest experience during the night hours.
- Receive guests and handle check-in and check-out.
- Help guests with questions, wishes and any challenges.
- Answer telephone and written inquiries.
- Handle reservations, payments and guest information.
- Perform night audits, reconciliations and other administrative night tasks.
- Prepare reports and ensure a thorough handover to the morning shift.
- Conduct security and control rounds at the hotel.
- Handle operational or acute situations calmly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a coherent guest experience.
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the Citybox concept and take new systems, digital solutions and workflows into use.
- Ensure that the hotel's procedures, quality standards and safety requirements are followed.
The work is primarily at night and includes shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
We imagine that you
- Have experience from hotel, reception, service or another relevant industry.
- Thrive working at night and can work independently.
- Are stable, responsible and punctual.
- Are service-minded, approachable and professional in your demeanor.
- Maintain calm and perspective when unforeseen situations arise.
- Can make independent decisions and take responsibility for the hotel's operation at night.
- Have good administrative skills and are familiar with IT and digital solutions.
- Preferably have experience with booking systems – experience with Opera is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Thrive in an environment characterized by development and change and are open to new systems, procedures and ways of working.
- Can handle guest complaints and conflicts in a constructive and solution-oriented manner.
- Speak and write Danish or another Scandinavian language as well as English.
- Are a good colleague who contributes positively to collaboration and the hotel's culture.
It is important that you are comfortable working alone in parts of the shift, and that you understand the responsibility that comes with being the hotel's primary contact during the night hours.
We offer
- A full-time position with independent responsibility and varied tasks.
- A unique opportunity to be part of establishing Denmark's first Citybox hotel.
- Opportunity to follow and contribute to an exciting transformation.
- Influence on new workflows, processes and guest experiences.
- An international working environment with dedicated colleagues.
- Thorough training in the hotel's systems, procedures and safety considerations.
- Professional and personal development.
- Good employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
- Staff benefits, health insurance and social events.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
Employment as soon as possible. Interviews are held continuously, so hurry to send your application 😊
