About the job
Would you like to join a meaningful everyday life where we help businesses, citizens and our own organization navigate and comply with sometimes complex environmental legislation? Are you passionate about helping ensure a sustainable future and take care of the environment? Can you deliver professionally solid decisions in good dialogue with colleagues, partners and politicians? Can you also work in a structured way and keep an overview in a busy day, while ensuring your tasks are completed on time and in the right quality? Then we need you.
About the job and the tasks
In the Nature & Water department we solve a wide range of regulatory tasks within wastewater, nature, groundwater and rivers. Right now we especially need to strengthen our wastewater competencies. We are therefore looking for a colleague who can work with tasks within the rainfall- and wastewater area.
We are looking for an experienced case handler for a permanent position, where we imagine that you have skills within regulatory tasks in the wastewater area.
You will be part of a dynamic group where we collaborate on the tasks by supporting and inspiring each other to achieve our goals. We focus on the task and on collaboration, and we actively work with our objectives, which we continuously follow up on and adjust as needed. We collaborate and help each other.
Your daily work in the group will at times be unpredictable; but also with routine tasks. You should expect that your expertise will come into play, and you should be ready to continually get to grips with new problems. You will work with a range of tasks within the wastewater area, e.g. connection and discharge permits, EIA screenings, orders to comply, inspections and related case processing.
In addition, you will need to provide professional contributions to the organization and participate in cross-disciplinary collaborations. You will become a member of a larger work community where we need each other and are willing to share our competencies and experiences with one another.
Our expectations of you
The ideal candidate has experience within the wastewater area from municipality, state or the consulting industry. You have knowledge of and a fundamental understanding of issues in the nature and environmental area as well as familiarity with special wastewater legislation.
We are looking for you who are constructive and solution-oriented and understand that the whole picture is important, also when you collaborate with colleagues from other regulatory areas and with external partners. You ensure the necessary documentation in case handling and thrive on working in a structured and meticulous way – with respect for deadlines.
You enjoy working in professional systems such as document management systems, GIS and the PULS database, and you feel at home in the most common systems such as the Office suite. You are also digitally proactive and can find relevant information on different platforms in connection with case handling.
We imagine that you are an engineer, environmental technologist, chemist, biologist or have a similar background. Experience with the tasks can, however, be just as important as your educational background, and we would like you to describe how your competencies can be put to use.
The good colleague
In Nature & Water our fundamental approach is that we deliver high professional quality through good collaboration. Therefore you are a team player who can collaborate across the organization with many different professional backgrounds, which you have as much respect for as your own.
A good colleague is structured and flexible and capable of finishing tasks and moving on. You are good at finding and proposing alternative solutions if necessary to succeed with the task.
You are passionate about the task – and you think it is fun to go to work.
