About us

Hældagerskolen is a large well-run public school with about 850 students and about 140 staff. The school is three- and four-stream from grade 0-9 and also houses a center department for students with mobility impairments as well as specific cognitive difficulties.

There is after-school care (SFO) attached to the school with about 400 students.

The school has good physical facilities with a gym, playing fields and the forest as the nearest neighbor, and parts of the school have recently been rebuilt to create the best conditions for children and adults.

About the job

• We are seeking our new teaching colleague to handle science subjects
• Are you passionate about working with students in the middle years and upper primary, strong communities and children's well-being and learning? Then it may be you we are looking for.
• We are seeking an engaged and relationship-building teacher who, among other things, will teach science in the upper level.

• have strong competences in classroom management and relationship work,
• can see behind behavior and meet children with a curious and inclusive view,
• work with a focus on equal participation opportunities and high academic standards for all,
• actively participate in close cooperation with students, parents, colleagues and leadership,
• thrive in close collaboration with both subject and upper primary teams.

We are looking for a colleague who both is passionate about science, teaching and relational work, and who wants to be an active part of the school's joint effort to ensure that all children thrive, learn and develop.

We believe that relationships move — and we prioritize being close to each other in daily life. As a teacher at Hældagerskolen you will be met by approachable management, welcoming colleagues and a culture where both children and adults are seen and heard.

We expect that you

• are a trained teacher with specialization in one or more of the following subjects: Biology, Geography, Physics, Mathematics and also preferably language subjects.
• take an active part in a well-functioning work community.
• have the ability to create and adapt the learning environment to the student group.
• burn for the development, well-being and learning of children and young people.

Employment terms

Salary and terms of employment according to collective agreement and local pay. This is a parental leave replacement as a full-time position starting 1 December 2026 – possibly earlier. Part-time would also be an option.

Information about starting salary

Employment takes place according to the current agreement for the Danish Teachers' Association. The expected full-time salary excluding pension is between 34,000-42,000 DKK per month, depending on seniority and qualifications. Final salary determination is made according to the current agreement and based on qualifications and experience.
