NEST CLASSES at Vallerødskolen SEEK EDUCATORS!

We are looking for you who want to be a significant adult for the children in our Nest classes at Vallerødskolen.

And do you want to help, in collaboration with colleagues, PPR and management, to further develop Nest at Vallerødskolen?

Then you are the one we are looking for!

Vallerødskolen is seeking 1 educator full-time for a permanent position and 1 maternity cover who will be part of the continued development of NEST at Vallerødskolen.

NEST is the term for a pedagogical practice where children with ASD or autism-like challenges and children from the general population are part of the same class community. The classes are composed of 12 children from the school district and 4 children who have been admitted to a Nest placement.

In Nest we work based on the principles of Co-Teaching, and we have a sustained focus on structure, visual support and predictability. We also focus on your and your colleagues' professional development, and therefore you will receive ongoing competence development and supervision, just as you will be required to participate in team meetings and joint preparation meetings with a focus on Nest principles. We work purposefully with the children's challenges and well-being throughout the school day. This applies both in teaching and in SFO.

The position comprises hours in the school part and in SFO – also during school holiday days.

We are looking for a staff member who

• is a trained educator, preferably with experience from the specialized field
• is curious and investigative about their own practice
• is professionally sound, structured and clear in their conduct and communication with students, colleagues, management, PPR and parents
• stands firm in relational work
• is proactive in incorporating relevant knowledge from e.g. pedagogical notes and PPV's
• works systematically with action plans
• contributes positively to the collegial and professional community at the school

You will become part of an active school and SFO with a good community, fantastic surroundings where we are close to forest and beach, good facilities and a well-functioning collaboration across disciplines.

Further information

Vallerødskolen is a two- to three-track school with an SFO, located in scenic surroundings. Currently the school has about 500 students and 90 staff members, all working from the school's three values Community, engagement and professionalism.

Salary

In accordance with the EU pay transparency directive, applicants have the right to know the starting salary/salary range for the vacant position: The position will be placed according to Hørsholm Municipality's pre-agreement with BUPL. The base salary for newly trained educators starts at salary grade 31 and currently amounts to 33,467.50 DKK/month excluding pension, and at grade 35 (more than 10 years of experience) 37,883.57 DKK/month excluding pension. Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating supplements.
