Network Automation Specialist - come into the engine room and build automation solutions

In the role as Network Automation Specialist you will become part of the automation team consisting of 6 dedicated colleagues. The team is part of the OSS area in IT that comprises 15 colleagues. Our primary task is to ensure stable provisioning of new customers in Sinal's fiber network and to develop the solutions we use for this.

Your daily life with us

Your primary tasks will be

• Development, troubleshooting and problem solving for network-related support systems
• Build and maintain tools for Sinal's order provisioning flow
• Optimization of data quality in Inventory systems
• Participation in system maintenance and process optimization
• Ensure up-to-date documentation and knowledge sharing

You will be attached to our head office in Silkeborg, with the possibility of remote/home office days

Network Automation Specialist with technical depth and a desire to work with integrations and automation

We envision that you have 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, backend developer, automation engineer or the like. You want to work with complex integration and automation solutions, and you are motivated by understanding how software supports critical infrastructure. Experience with networks, telecommunications or the ISP industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you have strong development skills, are curious about new technologies and want to learn the domain together with experienced colleagues.

Fluent Danish and English, both written and spoken, is a requirement.

We expect that you

• Have experience with software development in Python or a similar programming language
• Have an understanding of modern software development and version control
• Have an interest in automation and integrations
• Want to learn new technologies and domains

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of

• NetBox
• Network infrastructure or telecommunications
• Kubernetes or OpenShift
• CI/CD pipelines
• Linux
• FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Ansible

You do not need to know fiber networks or network automation beforehand. We have a strong professional environment with specialists in both software development and networking, and we expect you to learn the domain with us. In return we expect you to come with solid development skills, curiosity and a desire to take responsibility.

As a person you are analytical and solution-oriented, which makes you able to quickly handle complex technical challenges. You thrive in dynamic and collaborative environments where your ability to help and receive help from your colleagues is important. Your structured approach ensures efficient development and troubleshooting, and you are known for delivering reliable solutions. You can work independently and enjoy taking ownership of your tasks and ensuring progress.

As Sinal deals with critical infrastructure, it is a prerequisite for employment that you can obtain security clearance from the relevant authorities, and that you can maintain the security clearance during your employment.
