Do you want to make a difference for children, adolescents and families facing complex and difficult life situations?
We are seeking an experienced psychologist with a neuro-disciplinary interest and experience who would like to become part of our multidisciplinary teams in the Child and Adolescent Department. The position is 32 hours, but if you are interested in fewer hours, it is still possible to apply!
In the position you will participate in the work at the Family Outpatient Clinic as well as in the specialized rehabilitation of children and adolescents with acquired brain injury . A workday with professionalism, variation and close collaboration
As a psychologist you will become an important part of a strong multidisciplinary environment. You will work closely with psychologists, doctors, nurses, therapists and other staff to create coherent and high-quality pathways for children, adolescents and their families.
The multidisciplinary collaboration also extends beyond the department. A significant part of the work is to build bridges with, among others, PPR, municipal family departments, schools and other relevant partners , so psychological knowledge is translated into concrete actions in the child’s and family’s everyday life.
You will have a varied workday that includes investigative, advisory, rehabilitative and therapeutic tasks.
As a psychologist you will, among other things, work with
- Cognitive assessments and neuropsychological examinations of children , including assessment of the child's prerequisites, preparation of recommendations and advice to the child, the family and relevant professionals.
- Close follow-up and assessment of preschool children born to mothers who used substances or abused addictive substances during pregnancy.
- Specialized rehabilitation of children and adolescents with acquired brain injury , where neuropsychological understanding is a central part of the multidisciplinary effort. From 1/1 2027 the Region will take over this exciting task.
- Therapeutic talking courses with children, adolescents and/or parents focused on, among other things, coping with difficult life conditions, crisis, grief and adaptation to changed life circumstances.
- Psychoeducation and counseling for children, adolescents, parents and partners.
- Interdisciplinary coordination and bridging between the hospital, the family and the child’s other networks.
We are looking for someone who
- is authorized psychologist and preferably has experience in neuropsychology. A completed specialist training is not a requirement.
- has experience working with children and families .
- is passionate about seeing the child as a whole and can integrate somatic, neuropsychological, developmental and social perspectives in your assessment.
- thrives with diverse and complex tasks and can work independently and in a structured way, while being an engaged team player.
- is a skilled communicator who can convey psychological and neuropsychological knowledge in an understandable, concrete and applicable way.
- can translate assessments and professional evaluations into concrete recommendations that can be used in the child's and family's everyday life .
- has good collaboration skills and thrives in an environment where professional sparring and multidisciplinary collaboration are a natural part of the work.
- can meet children, adolescents and families with calm, empathy and respect , even when the situation is characterized by serious illness, crisis or grief.
- Has a driver's license
