Kongens Vænge Børnehus seeks an educator for our toddler group

Kongens Vænge Børnehus is one of the smallest integrated day cares in Hillerød Municipality, and we are also a relatively newly established day care, normed for 44 children, distributed over 1 toddler group and 1 kindergarten group spread over two rooms.

Kongens Vænge Børnehus is characterized by a professionally strong learning environment where we always see the individual child and plan our learning environments based on the child’s needs and development.

Our pedagogical work is based on Neuroaffective Developmental Psychology and strong communities. We are also focused on the thinking behind NEST and use several of its principles and theory as a foundation in our pedagogical work.

We are at the same time selected, together with 7 other day cares in Hillerød Municipality, to participate in a nationwide development program “All children’s day care”, which runs over the next 4 years. Our focus in this program is the importance of play for the children’s development and learning and how we adults best support the children’s development and well-being. Together we shall explore and be investigative in our own practice.

Our activities are planned according to a yearly plan that includes the strengthened curriculum themes and values. We work pedagogically all day and are not so focused on a “finished product” but rather on the process.

We are looking for an educator who,

• is clear, engaged, and present in their work with the children.
• focuses on the children and their relationships, and is aware that we bear responsibility for the relational contact with the child.
• works structured, reflective, and with documentation in the pedagogical work.
• has good collaboration skills and actively participates in staff meetings, parent meetings, and in cooperation with other professional groups
• is professionally strong and capable of reflecting on their own pedagogical practice.
• wants to be an active part of the room and the house

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement and rules on local salary formation. The place of service will be Kongens Vænge Børnehus, but the employment is with Hillerød Municipality. Employment requires an approved child and criminal record check.
