At Artelia you become part of an engaged team of 18 bridge engineers and project managers who work with bridges and civil works of all sizes and project phases. We solve tasks within both existing constructions and new builds and work with a wide range of materials, including concrete, steel, timber, composites and fiberglass.

Our clients include among others the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet), Banedanmark, municipalities, contractors and private developers. It provides a diverse project portfolio where you can work on everything from smaller local civil structures to larger infrastructure projects and cross-disciplinary construction tasks.

We want to be at the forefront in the field of bridge consultancy. Therefore we use advanced technologies to create form-defining bridges, cost-effective constructions and an optimized design process. We have a clear ambition to be a leader in 3D design of bridges and work with parameter-driven design from the first geometry models to the finished project. As a newly graduated you will be part of the projects as a project employee and work closely with experienced bridge engineers, professional supervisors and project managers.

Your profile

We imagine that you are a recent graduate or have the first short professional experience as a structural engineer. You have a strong structural engineering foundation and a clear interest in bridges, civil works and infrastructure. The professional questions motivate you, and you want to work analytically and creatively with statics, materials, geometry and structural solutions. At the same time you are curious about how digital tools and parameter-driven processes can create better and more efficient projects. In addition, we would like you to:

• be educated as a civil engineer or MSc in engineering within construction and civil engineering, load-bearing structures or a similar field
• have strong competencies within statics and load-bearing constructions as well as a strong professional interest in concrete and steel constructions
• have an interest in design, dimensioning and analysis of bridges and other complex constructions
• be motivated by digital design tools, calculation programs, 3D models and parameter-driven design
• work structured, analytical and thorough with a focus on quality and be open to feedback and professional sparring
• thrive with collaboration in both bridge-specialist and cross-disciplinary project teams and communicate clearly in Danish and English

Your main tasks

• Design and dimensioning of bridges, civil works and other load-bearing constructions.
• Preparation of static calculations, calculation models and technical documentation in collaboration with experienced colleagues
• Development and assessment of construction principles and technical solutions in, among others, concrete and steel.
• Work with 3D models, parameter-driven design and digital design processes.
• Contribute to the design of both new constructions and renovation, reinforcement or conversion of existing bridges and civil works
• Prepare drawings, descriptions and tender material as well as participate in site visits and registration of existing structures
