About the job
Do you have experience as a night guard in the area and want to become part of our night team? Then read on.
Who are we?
Musvågevej is a residential and day care facility for adults with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities and diagnoses within the autism spectrum.
At Musvågevej there are 48 people with reduced functional abilities in total, distributed across six to eight residents on each department. We are 150 staff members, who every day work to create a safe and content-rich everyday life based on the residents' wishes for a good life and good collaboration with relatives.
We have a wide range of professional disciplines, and your future colleagues include among others nurses, social and health care assistants, pedagogues, care assistants, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Now we need you in the night team.
Safety and care – even at night
As a night nurse your most important task is to create safety when it's dark outside. You perform surveillance, assist with care tasks and stand ready if one of our residents should have an episode. You are also one of the first to say good morning when the residents wake up, and help them up in the morning.
Although you work at night, you are never completely alone. You will be a on-call substitute in our night shift team with a mix of health and pedagogical backgrounds. Together we cover the seven small departments at Musvågevej. We work closely together and ensure that the night runs as safely and well as possible for the residents.
Your responsibilities at night
As an employee you will focus on the relational tasks that are needed at night. Several of our residents may have difficulty settling down and sleeping at night. Here you help create calm through your relational work with the resident, so the resident gains the courage to go to bed again.
You participate in the work community where everyone can supplement and help each other across based on the needs and tasks that arise during the night.
As a night nurse your tasks may include
- support for personal care, e.g. diaper changes
- support with dressing and undressing
- support with eating and drinking
- medication administration
- stoma
- help and handling in case of epileptic seizures
- documentation
We are looking for you who
- have experience in the social sector
- are motivated to work in the disability field
- put residents' well-being first, are curious in your professional approach, contribute with new ideas and see opportunities to improve residents' well-being
- take responsibility and help ensure healthcare and pedagogical quality – also at night
- are good at documenting
What can we offer you?
We can offer a workplace where you meet interesting and wonderful residents and dedicated colleagues with great warmth and a good community. We support each other to build and share the knowledge needed to ensure that our residents experience safety, well-being and value.
We are a workplace focused on your and your colleagues' well-being. We prioritize that you receive a good introduction to both the pedagogical and health care tasks, so you get a good understanding of your future workplace and your tasks.
In addition we hold internal courses in our pedagogical and autism-specific methods, e.g. LA2.
And we have free parking.

Employment terms
Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement and the framework of local pay formation. All shifts start at 22.30-07.30, except Wednesdays 21.30-07.30. We are a flexible workplace that strives to ensure your work life and leisure life fit together.
As an on-call substitute you become part of our regular substitute group. The shifts arise in connection with illness, vacation, course activity or other absence among the regular staff, and the hours vary according to need and your wishes.
It is our experience that many of our on-call substitutes achieve a high number of hours and a close attachment to the house and its residents. We emphasize that you are flexible and stable so residents meet familiar faces and experience continuity in their daily lives. You will of course receive thorough training before you are alone.
We wish to fill the position as soon as possible and conduct ongoing interviews. In connection with employment we obtain a criminal record and take references.
