Nurse for a fixed evening shift 7/7 on even weeks – for our new temporary unit

Do you have a secure clinical eye, can you work independently and maintain calm and an overview when the situation requires quick nursing assessment and action?

Then we are looking for a nurse for a permanent evening shift in a 7/7 arrangement. The position is 37 hours, but if a full-time position isn't right for you, we are happy to discuss another number of hours.

We are already in the process of establishing our new temporary unit at Rosenlund Nursing Homes. The unit currently has four beds and will be expanded to 10 beds. The basic framework and the professional direction are therefore already under development.

As our new evening nurse, you must be able to work securely within the direction laid out and at the same time contribute with your professional observations and experiences when practice needs to be adjusted and developed.

An independent nursing professional function

On the evening shift you are the nursing professional resource. You must therefore be comfortable working independently, creating an overview and making professionally reasoned decisions.

You will among other things be expected to

• receive and assess new residents and plan the nursing professional interventions
• observe and respond to changes in residents' condition
• provide nursing care to residents with complex and multifaceted problems
• prioritize and handle acute nursing professional situations
• contact doctor, emergency team or other relevant partners when necessary
• document observations, assessments, actions and follow-up
• coordinate the nursing professional care and ensure relevant handover to the next shift
• support and guide social and health care colleagues in concrete nursing professional issues.

You must be able to stand firm in your professional judgments while knowing your own competence limits and when others should be involved.

Collaboration with residents and relatives

Residents in a temporary unit can be seriously ill, acutely altered or in a vulnerable life situation. It can also bring the relatives into crisis.

We therefore expect you to meet relatives calmly and professionally – even when they are worried, frustrated or emotionally burdened.

You must be able to create calm and clarity, listen to their concerns, convey relevant nursing professional assessments and handle difficult conversations with respect and professional integrity.

Who are you?

You are a trained nurse with solid clinical professionalism. You work in a structured way, can prioritize and maintain an overview when several issues arise simultaneously.

• communicate clearly with doctors, the emergency team, colleagues and relatives
• can work independently and take responsibility for your professional decisions

• contribute constructively to developing practice when everyday experiences indicate a need for it
• meet residents and relatives with respect, presence and professionalism.

It is not essential that you have experience from a temporary unit. What matters is that you have the professional security and independence needed to carry out the function.

A unit in development

The temporary unit is under establishment, and we have already taken the first steps. You do not enter a function that has to be invented from scratch.

There is a direction within which you must be able to work and help qualify through your professionalism and your experiences from practice.

You will become part of Rosenlund Nursing Homes and the house's overall professional organization, but the evening shift is a role with a significant independent responsibility.

A little about Rosenlund Nursing Homes

Rosenlund Nursing Homes has 140 homes distributed across five units with different target groups. We have both somatic units, dementia units and housing for younger residents with psychological and social challenges.

The new temporary unit currently has four beds and will be expanded to 10 beds.

The position

Permanent evening shift in a 7/7 arrangement in even weeks.

Start date

1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is according to the applicable collective agreement with DSR and the principles of Ny Løn.
