About the job

Some will realize dreams, have children or retire, so we have room for new in our lovely staff group.

Therefore we are seeking nurses for neurology in Gødstrup.

Neurology is the best specialty - that's how it is!

Here you can become a skilled neurological nurse (for we have the most exciting tasks and the wildest introduction program) – and continue with exciting career development within the department.

Now you have the chance!

See the job and function description for Nurse here

The courses in our inpatient ward span from very short, acute pathways to somewhat longer ones. The patient group is very varied both in relation to neurological diagnoses, age and functional ability.

Fundamental nursing is an important prerequisite for solving the specialized task. Nursing with high professionalism is central for solving tasks and quality in outpatient assessment and follow-up of patients with a number of neurological diagnoses.

You will become part of a strong professional network

We have a multidisciplinary approach with many skilled professional groups, which support a common solution to the task based on the patient’s needs. We contribute with each our specialty to good task solving, and we learn a lot from each other along the way. Watch a video presentation of our department here

You will gain valuable knowledge about the entire neurological specialty – and you can build on what particularly interests you.

  • As a newly graduated nurse there is an opportunity for employment in an introductory position, which lasts 2 years. You will learn many things that will be useful in your nursing life. We are happy to prepare you for the things you may not yet have experience with.
  • As an experienced neurological nurse you will have the opportunity to build on what you already can. In the inpatient ward you can have special professional areas of responsibility, provide teaching, coordinating tasks, etc. – and we also support your further career development.

In our department there are possibilities to take several paths that call for different nursing competencies:

  • Nursing for hospitalized neurological patients (acute and chronic).
  • Nursing for outpatient patients - with specialized examinations, treatments, own nursing consultations and close collaboration with the team of doctors
  • Positions with special functions if, for example, you are interested in learning, development or leadership.

We have great diversity in the staff group - both in terms of age, experience and cultural background, which contributes positively to a very good collegial collaboration. We have a good working environment with room for humor and often a social event now and then.

We actively work with work-life balance by taking into account both the community and the core task – e.g. with different shift lengths.

We aim that you look forward to coming to work – and are happy when you go home again.

Our introduction is planned according to your wishes and needs, and it may include

  • Start outside the norm
  • Mentor scheme for at least ½ year
  • Ongoing on-the-spot training
  • Teaching about the department’s diagnoses and special tasks
  • Attention to the fact that not everyone learns in the same way.

There is a permanent full-time position in mixed shifts.

You should expect shifts about every 3rd weekend.
