Nurse for an outpatient clinic at Ballerup Psychiatric Center

We are seeking a nurse for the F-ACT team in Ballerup, a Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic at the Psychiatric Center Ballerup, under Herlev and Gentofte Hospital.

Here you will be part of an outpatient clinic with a dedicated multidisciplinary team that works according to the F-ACT model. We have four subspecialized teams that respectively treat patients with; bipolar affective disorder, patients in the psychosis spectrum, patients with legal detention, and patients with non-psychotic disorders.

We are an outpatient clinic consisting of 40 dedicated people, some very experienced, some less experienced, some in training, others have several educations, but all with the common task of creating good psychiatric treatment.

You will have varied responsibilities as a nurse in a FACT team

You will be the primary caregiver for about 25 patients. The work consists of conducting outpatient conversations, video meetings, home visits, and group programs.

You will work with crisis plans, cognitive schemas, energy management, motivational interviewing, observations, medication administration, and substance abuse treatment. In addition, we work with suicide prevention, violence risk assessments, involvement of somatic perspectives, bridging to municipal interventions, and various group offerings. You will also perform various psychoeducational tasks for patients and relatives.

You will participate in collaboration regarding the development of treatment plans, and you will be involved in multidisciplinary discussions and board meetings, treatment conferences, and network meetings.

Working in a FACT outpatient clinic involves treating patients in their own homes or in supported housing, which is why the position has a significant field component. Therefore, it is necessary that you have a driving license.

We are looking for a nurse with the following qualifications and competencies

• Authorization as a nurse
• Advantage to be familiar with KAT and DAT
• Preferably experience in the psychiatric specialty
• A team player
• Advantage with experience from somatic care
• Active contribution to a good working environment
• Valuing a high professional level

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week, preferably with employment starting on December 1, 2026 or by agreement.

The working hours in the outpatient clinic are Monday to Thursday 08:00-15:30 and Friday 08:00-15:00.

You will be employed in accordance with the collective agreement for non-leading staff in the Health sector, under the Sundhedskartellet area. You are during employment covered by the applicable working time agreement entered into between the Regions’ Payroll and Tariff Board and the Danish Nurses Association.

The outpatient clinic is open during daytime hours Monday-Friday.

As a new nurse, you will be assigned to a specific 24-hour ward where you will participate in on-call duties on Saturdays and Sundays every 6 weeks. We will of course ensure you are well prepared for the task. This happens in the form of an individual intro program, knowledge sharing and sparring with colleagues. And it happens through ongoing competence development based on your experiences and needs.
