About the job
As the health service changes, close and personal care becomes even more important. Do you want to help make a difference – close to people who need you?
The health system is changing. More tasks must be solved close to the citizen, and there is a need for strong professional competences that can create coherence in citizens' pathways – even when tasks and collaboration boundaries change.
In Home Nursing Skive/Højslev you will become part of a daily life where nursing close to the citizen is the focal point. We meet people of all ages with different and often complex nursing needs and work rehabilitatively with the citizen’s resources at the center.
Here you will have the opportunity to use your entire nursing professionalism – from acute problems to longer-term processes and everything in between. You will also become part of a professional community where we collaborate across disciplines and together find good solutions for the citizen.
What do we offer you?
- A thorough introduction, close sparring and a fixed mentor
- A strong community where humor is part of the uniform
- A high degree of influence and freedom with responsibility
- A diverse daily life with both acute and complex nursing tasks
- Ongoing competence development, courses and the opportunity for citizen-near education (1-year program)
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration in citizen-near teams
- Influence on the on-call schedule – we want in Loop
- Access to both cars and electric bikes – the latter quickly becoming a fixed daily companion
About the job
We are seeking a daytime and evening shift colleague with a weekly working time of 37 hours – otherwise let's talk when we meet. The position normally entails about 4-6 evening shifts over a 6-week period.
There is weekend work every 4th weekend in a fixed rotation.
Likewise, work on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve is included in a fixed rotation, which means you have a shift on one of these alternately about every 6 years.
You will be part of a team that covers both rural and urban areas, so you must be able to thrive with fresh air and you should enjoy cycling – of course we provide an electric bicycle.
A driver's license is required, as some routes are driven by car.
Your tasks may include
- Nursing care for citizens with chronic and complex illness trajectories
- Terminal care
- Acute tasks
- Interventions for mentally vulnerable and socially exposed citizens
- Instrumental tasks such as catheter placement and injections
- IV treatments
- Wound care and compression therapy
- Interdisciplinary citizen meetings and daily triaging
In short, here you get a daily life where no day is the same, and where you largely have the opportunity to bring your professional skills into play.
We are looking for you who
- are a trained nurse – experience is an advantage, but not a requirement
- desire professional development
- work independently, take responsibility and keep overview
- thrive in collaboration with other professional groups, doctors, the secondary sector and colleagues
- meet citizens and colleagues with respect, engagement and good humor
- work rehabilitatively and with the citizen’s wishes at the center
- are flexible, empathetic and good at creating security
- see IT as a friend – or at least a acquaintance you are willing to get to know
We work every day to support the citizen in living an independent, active and meaningful life – throughout life.
That’s what we stand for.
At the same time we believe that professional sparring, well-being and a good laugh are equally important ingredients in a good working day.
