About the job

Some want to realize dreams, have children or retire, so we have room for new people in our lovely staff group.

Therefore we are looking for nurses for neurology in Gødstrup.

Neurology is the best specialty - it just is!

Here you can become a skilled neurological nurse (for we have the most exciting tasks and the wildest intro program) – and continue with exciting career development within the department.

Now you have the chance!

See the job and function description for Nurse here

The pathways in our inpatient ward range from very short, acute courses to somewhat longer ones. The patient group is very varied in terms of neurological diagnoses, age and functional ability.

Basic nursing care is an important prerequisite for solving the specialized task. Nursing care with high professional standards is central to task solving and quality in outpatient evaluation and follow-up of patients with a range of neurological diagnoses.

You will become part of a strong professional network

We have a multidisciplinary approach with many skilled professional groups, which support a common solution to the task based on the patient's needs. We contribute with each of our own specialisms to good task solving, and we learn a lot from each other along the way. See video presentation of our department here

You will gain valuable knowledge about the entire neurological specialty – and you can build on what especially interests you.

  • As a newly qualified nurse there is an opportunity for employment in an introductory position, which runs over 2 years. You will learn many things that will be useful in your nursing life. We are happy to prepare you for the things you may not yet have experience with.
  • As an experienced neurological nurse you will have the opportunity to build on what you already can. In the inpatient ward you can take on special professional areas of responsibility, provide teaching, coordinating tasks, etc. – and we also support your further career development.

In our department there is the possibility to go several ways that call for different nursing competencies:

  • Nursing for admitted neurological patients (acute and chronic).
  • Nursing for outpatient patients - with specialized examinations, treatments, own nursing consultations and close collaboration with the team's doctors
  • Positions with special functions if you are interested in learning, development or leadership.

We have great diversity in the staff group - both in terms of age, experience and cultural background, which contributes positively to a very good collegial collaboration. We have a good work environment with room for humor and occasional social events.

We actively work with work-life balance while considering both the community and the core task – e.g. with different shift lengths.

Our goal is that you look forward to coming to work – and are happy when you go home again.

Our introduction is planned according to your wishes and needs, and it can include

  • Starting outside the normal staffing level.
  • Mentor arrangement for a minimum of 6 months
  • Ongoing side-by-side training.
  • Teaching about the department's diagnoses and special tasks.
  • Attention to the fact that not everyone should learn in the same way.

The position is a permanent full-time role in mixed shifts.

You should expect a shift roughly every 3rd weekend.
