Nurse or social- and health care assistant for a residential facility at Sundholm

At Sundholm Care we are looking for a health care professional who would like to become part of a multidisciplinary community where the relationship with residents is important and where no day is the same.

With us you meet people with complex life histories and extensive social and health-related challenges. We are located in the heart of Sundholm – a unique area in Copenhagen where several social services work side by side around some of the city’s most vulnerable residents. At Sundholm you meet people with very different life stories.

With us the target group is characterized by residents with extensive social problems, mental disorders, active drug use and somatic challenges, which are often derived from the latter.

About Sundholm Care

Do not be fooled by the name. Sundholm Care is not a nursing home. We are a long-term residential facility under the Danish Social Services Act § 108. We consist of two departments with the same resident group divided into: The Collective and the Care Collective.

We work from Low Arousal and a recovery-oriented approach, where the starting point is the residents’ own goals, wishes and possibilities as a fundamental element. Our task is to support the residents in everyday life and sustaining life within the framework of a residential facility, as well as to help the residents achieve the greatest possible quality of life and stability from the resources they have available.

The work with us spans a wide range. Some days it is about the motivating conversation over a cup of coffee. Other days it is about conflict resolution or acute illness, requiring collaboration with external partners in the secondary sector. Therefore we are seeking a nurse or a social and health care assistant who can combine humane qualities, structure and health care observations based on common professional methods.

Your role as a health care professional

You will become an important part of a multidisciplinary effort around the residents and will among other things work with

• health care services and everyday nursing
• relationship work and building trustful relationships
• a recovery-oriented approach to the work
• motivation and support for structure and stability in daily life
• conflict management and professional boundary setting
• medication management and health care documentation
• follow-up on social and health care goals
• coordination with doctors, authorities and other partners
• multidisciplinary collaboration with your colleagues across professional groups and shifts

The work is often done in pairs, and we prioritize shared professional reflection and sparring in daily life.

At Sundholm Care we work purposefully to strengthen the pedagogical elements of the offering. Therefore we are also looking for a colleague who is motivated by professional reflection and curiosity about how the pedagogical and health care work can go hand in hand.

About you

You are educated as a nurse or a social and health care assistant and preferably have experience with or an interest in working with residents with active drug use and complex problems. You may also be newly graduated with relevant practical or professional experience.

Terms of employment

This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week with mixed day and evening shifts and a weekend shift every 3rd week. Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.

Starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible. In connection with the hire we will obtain references and a criminal record certificate.
