About the job

Do you dream of making a difference for young adults with psychosis or schizotypy? Are you motivated by relationship-based work, recovery and close collaboration with the patients' families, networks and multidisciplinary partners? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for to OPUS Team South in Vordingborg.

We are seeking a nurse for a fixed-term position of 37 hours per week for 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Who are we?

OPUS Team South is an outpatient team based in scenic surroundings on the peninsula Oringe in Vordingborg. We provide treatment to young adults aged 18-35 who for the first time are diagnosed within the psychosis and schizophrenia spectrum.

The team covers the municipalities of Næstved, Vordingborg, Guldborgsund and Lolland, and your daily workflow will be based in Vordingborg.

We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, a social educator, an occupational therapist, a social worker, a peer worker, a secretary, a chief physician and a chief nurse. We have a high professional level and a common goal to help our patients create a meaningful life, with opportunities for participation in education, work and social communities.

The outpatient clinic is open during daytime on weekdays.

Treatment with the person at the center

In OPUS the relationship with the patient and their family is a central part of the treatment. The individual patient is as a starting point assigned an OPUS therapist for two years. As a therapist you help create continuity, security and coherence in the patient's journey — also in periods where it may be difficult to attend or accept help.

You function as a coordinator and coordinate the treatment in collaboration with the patient, the relatives and relevant collaborators. Together you work to enable the patient to recover and resume or start education, work and other meaningful activities at a pace that suits the individual.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a nurse and that you want to use both your professional skills and your personality in working with young adults who need support in a vulnerable period of life.

We place emphasis on, that you

  • Are passionate about working with young people, their relatives and recovery.
  • Thrive in relationship-based work where patience, perseverance and motivation are important elements.
  • Have a curious, appreciative and respectful approach to the individual.
  • Thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration and can think creatively in solving tasks.

You do not necessarily need to know everything from the start. We are interested in hearing what you can contribute and which professional areas you would like to develop.

Your tasks

As a nurse in OPUS Team South your tasks will include, among other things

  • Contact person function with responsibility for a caseload of about 16 patients.
  • Regular and ongoing contacts with the patients.
  • Coordination of the overall treatment effort around the individual patient.
  • Collaboration with relatives, networks and multidisciplinary partners.
  • Clinical nursing tasks, including treatment conversations and administration and follow-up of medical treatment, including depot medication.

The tasks will be adapted to your competencies and experiences as well as the team's current needs.

We offer

  • An exciting opportunity to work with recovery-oriented treatment of young adults.
  • A daily life with a strong emphasis on relationships, professionalism and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Committed colleagues with diverse professional perspectives.
  • A fixed-term appointment of 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with an employment period of 3 months and the possibility of extension.

Working hours are, as a rule
