About the job

Acute nursing, intensive treatment and milieu therapy – a professional field in motion

We are seeking two nurses with professional drive for our receiving and intensive care ward for young people up to 18 years old.

The positions are 28–37 hours per week with commencement January 1, 2026 or by agreement.

A everyday with varying pathways and changing pace

The ward consists of four intake beds and eight intensive beds. We admit young people in acute crises and handle both shorter stabilizing admissions and longer diagnostic trajectories. The everyday tempo changes and the tasks require professional overview, calm and the ability to adapt the effort to the individual situation.

Our professional approach

We work with mentalization-based milieu therapy, recovery-oriented treatment, de-escalation and prevention of coercion.

The professional relationship work is a central part of nursing. We work consciously with clarity, continuity and professional curiosity to create safe frames for the young person during admission.

Your tasks

Your tasks include, among others, to

  • fulfil the contact person function and the individual nursing care
  • observe, assess and follow up on the young person’s condition and treatment
  • support the young person in everyday structure and framework
  • collaborate with the young person, their relatives and the interdisciplinary team
  • contribute to coherence in the treatment course and development of our shared practice

We are looking for you who

  • are a trained nurse with valid authorization
  • face a changing specialty with professional curiosity and drive
  • work calmly, clearly and reflectively – even when the situation changes
  • actively contribute to collaboration and community in the ward

Experience from psychiatry is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. We place emphasis on your motivation to learn the specialty and contribute to the joint professional task

A secure start and room for development

Our strong mentoring program provides you with a thorough introduction to the ward’s framework, workflows and the professional approach.

You will become part of an engaged work environment with room for all – where professional sparring, collegial collaboration and development of practice are prioritized. We focus on flexible working hours, with close dialogue about how the working hours can be organized within the department’s operations.
