About the job

Do you want meaning in daily life and to use your nursing professional identity for something that really makes a difference for patients? At Psykiatrisk Afsnit 3 you get the opportunity to work with both acute and longer-term cases for patients with psychotic disorders as well as self-harming behavior–and at the same time develop yourself in close collaboration with your colleagues.

We are currently seeking nurses for permanent positions at 37 hours/week – and we hope you can start as soon as possible so we can stand ready with a strengthened team for a planned reorganization and strengthening of the psychiatric wards at the beginning of 2027. Psychiatric experience is a plus, but not a requirement – the most important is that you want to work nursing professionally, are engaged and curious about people.

If you would like to meet us and hear more about the position, do not hesitate to contact us!

Why choose us?

As a nurse with us you will be part of a close, multidisciplinary team that has both brain, heart and will in daily work. Without blinking we dare promise that with us you will find:

  • Purpose in the work – you make a direct difference for people with complex mental illnesses
  • Professional development – thorough intro, onboarding, mentor, courses and focus on competence development
  • Supervision – you will, together with colleagues, receive supervision twice a month
  • Strong community – experienced and new colleagues learn from each other and make decisions together
  • Innovation and creativity – we challenge habitual solutions and think new for the patients’ best
  • Flexibility – you gain influence on the shift plan, so work and private life can fit together

About Ward 3

At Psychiatric Ward 3 we take in patients with all types of psychotic disorders and we have a subspecialty in self-harming behavior. We have room for 14 patients aged 18 and up. As something new we are working towards receiving patients in our own ward, which contributes to an exciting everyday life with many different tasks in the acute psychiatric, nursing field.

With the subspecialty in self-harming behavior we will together develop an exciting internal course program in autumn 2026, where we dream of having you, our new colleague, with us. As a new nurse with us you also receive basic training in De-Escalation.

At Ward 3 we prioritize high professionalism and new thinking in our work with our patients. We offer individual treatment and involve the patient in the decision-making process. Through close multidisciplinary collaboration and joint reflection we find across departments and sectors the best solutions for each patient, and we continuously work on developing new methods that can reduce the use of coercion and improve treatment courses.

Who are you?

You thrive on challenges and wish to reflect on your and the ward's nursing approach so that we together stand strong, both in meeting the acute patient, in the longer courses and in the development of our ward.

As a nurse you are responsible for 3-4 patients daily, and you have a broad range of tasks within patient reception, identification of needs, de-escalation, medication management and support in coping strategies.
