About the job

Nurse with a heart for rehabilitation and citizen education is sought for our Health Clinic in Vejlby, as our current nurse goes on maternity leave.

About the job

Are you passionate about being part of a health unit with rehabilitation at the core? Do you want to use and develop your competencies within rehabilitation and citizen education as a nurse in a health clinic? Are you a team player who contributes with good humor and drive? If so, you might be the one we are looking for.

We are seeking a nurse who wants to staff our health clinic at Folkehuset Vejlby during opening hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00 to 15:00 and on the other days with our mobile team. We are looking for you who find it interesting to work in a health clinic and want to be part of a team focused on professional quality, citizen safety, well-being and the working environment.

How the team describes itself

  • A team with close professional collaboration and respect for each other and each other’s professionalities.
  • A tightly knit group with room for both seriousness and humor.
  • A good team to join as a newcomer, as you can always get help and ask questions.
  • A team with a good work environment where it is nice and safe to be.

The position as a nurse in the health unit requires that you thrive working independently and structured. As a nurse in the health unit you will perform nursing tasks in the health clinic including nursing assessments, complex and unstable nursing interventions, citizen education, triage of care and practical help, and allocation of aids in rehabilitation programs.

You will meet all kinds of citizens – from children to the elderly, from resourceful to resource-poor – with acute, chronic, somatic and psychiatric conditions. This requires good communication skills and the ability to provide attentive nursing, even in pressurized situations.

Your way of delivering nursing always starts from the citizen’s own resources, and the goal is to educate the citizen or their network to make the person as self-reliant as possible. We therefore emphasize that you have a rehabilitative mindset and can work with citizen education.

The health unit Vejlby/Risskov is based at Skelager Local Center.

We are a team of about 36 staff comprising nurses, therapists, SOSU helpers and SOSU assistants. We work cross-professionally and everyone’s contribution and expertise is important in the work with and about the citizen and the citizen’s goals in the process.

We prioritize giving ample time for tasks in the process to ensure a good citizen journey.

We pay great attention to providing you with a good introduction to the tasks. We are in ongoing dialogue regarding your competence development with focus on your personal learning and development.

As an employee in the health unit you will work with “new” citizen pathways, i.e., citizens who are not already in a municipal program. The pathways are of shorter duration, primarily 8-12 weeks.

If you can see yourself in the above and contribute to it, perhaps you are the one we are missing.

It is a maternity cover with primarily day shifts, as well as weekend work every 6th weekend in day shift.

Your profile

We want our new colleague

  • A trained nurse with Danish authorization.
  • Has clinical experience and is professionally grounded, thriving on delivering nursing in complex citizen pathways with many different partners.
  • Has strong communication skills and is good at sharing knowledge.
  • Thrives with “solo work,” as you work quite independently in the health clinic.
  • Is good at coordinating, structuring, and prioritizing time and tasks.
  • Has a talent for mobilizing the citizen’s resources and works focused on rehabilitation and citizen education.
  • Is prepared that there will be days as performing nurse
  • Contributes with a positive attitude and good humor.
  • Has a driving license.
  • Can cycle on an e-bike all year round
  • Knowledge of the care pathway model and our electronic journal CURA is an advantage.
  • Is a team player who wants to contribute to a good working environment.

Why you should choose us

We offer

  • High degree of influence on how to solve the task in collaboration with the citizen and colleagues.
  • A team in which there is professional and collegial development, eager to contribute to our tasks and to each other.
  • Engaged colleagues and manager who, together with you, will help create the best professional team in Aarhus Municipality.
  • A team with high social capital, good well-being, a humorous tone and good camaraderie during and outside working hours.
  • Multidisciplinary meetings in the team, where there is an opportunity to get sparring on the citizen pathway and ensure that we work towards the same goals.

Team Vejlby/Risskov consists of both experienced and newly graduated nurses. The team describes itself as a team with a strong sense of community, where people help each other and work together. There is always time to spar with each other in daily work.
